"WOW! What a great find in the "Little Slice of Heaven". As a family we were searching for that "place" to stay while attending a wedding on Saturday, Sept 26th. It turned out to be much more than we expected. We arrived on Friday without a problem, Kathy's continual communication with me was outstanding. Putting me at ease! The house was outstanding, from the large deck to the bedrooms. I think from almost every room, you get that amazing view of Mt Antero and Mt. Princeton. The house and location for our family was fabulous! Thanks Kathy"

WOW! This is a beautiful place that puts you close to all the great things Colorado has to offer!
"To say we were pleased with the cabin would be a huge understatement. This was a trip of a lifetime and we will be coming back very soon!
The cabin itself is very comfy and accommodating. It was perfect for just my wife and I but it would also be just as perfect if we had brought our two kids (12 and 7) and large dog with us. The cabin has everything you need to cook (bring your own consumables), play games (board games galore and crochet), watch classic movies or simply sitting on the porch and healing the mind body and soul.
The property is well shaded with a small yard in the front to hang out and prepare for your adventure packed days. It is attached to the main house so this may not be the place for a bunch of rowdy teens to have their party fueled getaway but it is a perfect place for a family, couple, writer, painter, day dreamer or adventure seeker.
The location made it perfect for us to do and see so much in our 5 days. I won't bore you with all majestic details of our trip but it is worth pointing out that we were able to see the Garden of the Gods, Royal Gorge by Train, Pikes Peak by Car, Cave of the Winds, Cripple Creek for some gambling and a tour of the mine, Maintou Springs for a hot spring spa treatment and St Mary's Glacier. These were all done by making day trips. We were able to wake up, have breakfast, pack some lunch, go do our touristy stuff and be back to make dinner and hang out for the evening. Even the longer drives seem to go so quick with all the wildlife and beauty so don't be afraid to plan that day trip to the National Sand Dunes (we didn't and that is the one thing we regret not doing).
A couple recommendations: Make sure to leave your windows open if you are going during the warmer months. The mountain air is refreshing and healing. Also, leave your bottle water in the car. The well water is delicious.
Thank you Lenni and Don for an amazing time (and for the flowers and card as well)!"

"If you are considering staying in Leadville with a pet book this rental immediately! Just got back from eight days at this property. There were absolutely no negatives regarding this rental. The home has everything you need. It is a perfect location! The caretakers across the street are wonderful hosts. The street was very quiet. The beds were comfortable. Lots of room! And decorated really cute. It was very very clean. Plus they had everything that you needed. I always pack my own towels and my own bedding which takes a ton of room, but I have been at many properties where the towels were soiled or the sheets were kind of gross. This rental had everything nice, fresh and clean! I left my stuff in the suitcase I had packed it in. I wish they rented this property out in the winter because that's when I usually come. From now on if I come in the summertime I will definitely try to rent this unit. We have stayed in five other rentals in Leadville and this was definitely my favorite. I keep using the words rental or unit or property but honestly this was a GREAT HOME!"

"The cabin was a great place to stay for the scenery and location for our trip for riding the trails. Scott made us feel very welcome, the cabin was clean and very comfortable. Everything we needed to prepare our meals and enjoy the cool evenings on the deck. Being able to observe all the wildlife in the evenings was also a great benefit.
Great place to stay."
