"This area is truly awesome. The home is well laid out with plenty of room and tucked into a beautiful spot on the mountain. This property is very private, yet convenient to amenities. Susan was simply amazing to work with and handled all the details of the rental in a very professional and efficient manner. Thank you so much for all of your help.
P.S. Love the new patio furniture out back. Really helps to enjoy all of the abundant wildlife."

"If anyone wants a truely authentic log cabin built in an originally old mining town, this is the place. We stay here for a week over the 4th of July about 4-5 years ago. I neglected to leave a review at that time even though we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. For a true Colorado mountain getaway, this is the place. The cabin/ house was originally built by the owners father, who was a mail carrier in Salida and he built this by hand working on it during the weekends in the 1950s for a vacation home for the family. It has so much character, peace and beauty. We loved sitting on the deck to watch the sunset. The altitude is a higher level so if you are not use to it drink plenty of water. Thank for a wonderful stay and sorry about the delay in review. Our two miniature schnauzers loved watching the deer that we would see every day."

"Wonderful home with incredible views. We really liked how close to Salida the home was so we could run into town. The hot tub and sauna were so nice after being in the mountains for the day. The home was very well equipped with everything we needed."

"I have been staying in Westcliffe 2 months out of the year since 2006. I have always wanted to stay at this cabin, but it was more than my wife and I needed for ourselves. This year, I took the entire family (6 to 75) and we all enjoyed the place. Right next to the hiking trails, yet close enough to town if you needed something. If you want to relax and be free of the Internet, then this place will fit your needs. I do have a wife with disabilities, so the cabin can be challenging in that regard, but it is doable."
