  • The Cozy Cottage Was Tremendous

"My family spent 5 nights in this cottage in Leadville and we had the best vacation - ever. The cottage is clean and roomy enough for 6 of us to be very comfortable. The kitchen was great, we had several family meals together. The laundry was great, we were able to minimize the clothing we needed to pack. The bathroom, shower - all good. Grill on the back patio - - how can you go wrong? We used the Mineral Belt Trail (2 blocks from the cottage) many times, walked downtown for a few meals and general sightseeing. We launched our other adventures from this very convenient location as well; Turquoise Lake is 6 miles down the road, Mt. Elbert trailhead is 10 miles down the road, BV and whitewater rafting was 30 miles down the road. The neighbors were friendly, the view of the continental divide is fabulous, you can see the two highest peaks in the state from the back patio - - I could go on. Leadville gives off a cool vibe that I found attractive - - it has all the views and activities that a Vail and Aspen would have without the pretension. I saw a bumper sticker that said it all: "Leadville - We're Here Because We're Not All There." If you've got Wall Street money and want to stay at the InterContinental, that is awesome, do that. If you're a regular guy like me who adheres to the " as the Romans do..." mantra, rent this house."

  • Perfect house

"I rented this house for the LT100 race this year and was extremely satisfied with my decision to stay there. It truly has a home away from home feeling and the location just can not be beat. The owner (Jason) was very easy to reach via a phone call or text if I had any questions. The house itself was very nice and cozy with amazing amenities which in Leadville is difficult to come by. I will no doubt stay here again for my next race. And for all LT100 racers out there, this house is less than a block from the start line. I literally walked out of the back door 10 minutes before the start gun went off. Absolutely perfect"

  • Delightful miner's cottage in estern town

"Our stay in this miners cottage can be summed up in one word: enchanted! Leadville is truly a gem, it is not too touristy, amazing surroundings, very historical. The cottage is truly a delight. Everything about it is cute, the little kitchen in the morning light, the spacious yet cosy bedroom, chickens in the yard. There is a hottub from where you have a view over the Rockies. It's just perfect. The owner is such a wonderful and enthusiastic host. He showed us around the mountains and mininh area and he even had a map designed for navigating the area on ATVs. He was so kind as to let us use his ATVs. We did not want to leave and extended our stay with two days. We will certainly come back to this cottage, as Leadville now has a special place in our hearts."

  • Roomy and Comfortable Vacation Home!

"If you are going to Leadville or Cooper, don't pass up checking on this vacation rental. My husband and I, along with our two dogs stayed two weeks at this vacation home and enjoyed the whole time there. We usually stay at a hotel in Leadville, and we're glad we chose to stay here. The home was clean upon arrival, very roomy and would support a large family gathering. Very open floor plan. All bedrooms are large with comfortable beds. Has everything you would need for your stay. Close to the lake (had a great time fishing), Cooper and downtown. Area was quiet and the fenced in yard was great for the dogs. Joe, the caretaker introduced himself and was very nice. He let you know he was available if you needed anything and will respect your privacy during your stay. The house has been very nicely remodeled. The master bath was great with a nice large tub and a large steam shower (this was great after a day in the cold!). Maureen, the owner, was very accommodating and responsive. Photos accurately support the home, but doesn't show all of the rooms. Would stay at this home again, and would recommend to family and friends. We look forward to our next trip!"
