  • At 10,200'

"Lots to do, bike and hiking trails are excellent. it is lawful to ride 4 wheelers in the Leadville area with a permit, so you can make trips into the mountains. trails are rougher than others in Colorado but the area is beautiful. golf course is 9 hole and the highest in continental US. House is as nice as advertised and would love to return at a later time."

  • The Cozy Cottage Was Tremendous

"My family spent 5 nights in this cottage in Leadville and we had the best vacation - ever. The cottage is clean and roomy enough for 6 of us to be very comfortable. The kitchen was great, we had several family meals together. The laundry was great, we were able to minimize the clothing we needed to pack. The bathroom, shower - all good. Grill on the back patio - - how can you go wrong? We used the Mineral Belt Trail (2 blocks from the cottage) many times, walked downtown for a few meals and general sightseeing. We launched our other adventures from this very convenient location as well; Turquoise Lake is 6 miles down the road, Mt. Elbert trailhead is 10 miles down the road, BV and whitewater rafting was 30 miles down the road. The neighbors were friendly, the view of the continental divide is fabulous, you can see the two highest peaks in the state from the back patio - - I could go on. Leadville gives off a cool vibe that I found attractive - - it has all the views and activities that a Vail and Aspen would have without the pretension. I saw a bumper sticker that said it all: "Leadville - We're Here Because We're Not All There." If you've got Wall Street money and want to stay at the InterContinental, that is awesome, do that. If you're a regular guy like me who adheres to the "....do as the Romans do..." mantra, rent this house."

  • Amazing House!

"I have been going to Leadville on vacation for the last 10 winters. I have rented other houses, stayed in hotels, but this has been the best place ever! The Silver Rush Inn is a very comfortable and spacious home. While in town, there was a massive snow storm that dumped more than 18'' of snow. Collin came to our rescue and helped clear the road making it safe. He also helped my brother's car to unstuck. Anyone who choses to rent this house will not be disappointed."

  • Picture perfectl!!! look no further!!!

"First things first...this cabin is amazing. Being a frequent vrbo renter I can tell you this surpassed ALL expectations. Look no further, you wont find a nicer more equipped cabin, in the most beautiful part of Colorado. This cabin is large enough to bring several families. We only had 4 people so it was definately roomy and then some. It is spotless. Surrounded by pines and peaceful solitude, mountain views and mountain air. The Pine View cabin is centrally located to many amenities. This was our kids first time so we wanted to do several different things: Downtown Leadville is very quaint and eclectic. It is a true mining town. People are very nice. Turquoise Lake, oh my gosh!! Its a mile away and pure heaven. My son and husband fished it and caught rainbows and lake trout!! Its just breathtaking. Rafting-we used American Adventures expeditions in Buena Vista it is only 40 min.. Easy drive. ATVing-we used Nova guides in Leadville at Camp Hale. Its 15 min. Independance pass is a must. The turnoff for this is 20 min. Shopping Breck or Silverthorne which we split into the first and last days of our week is about 40 min. So as you can see in all diff directions you can go to explore, Leadville is central to alot of things...yet the cabin is located in peace and quiet and so private!!!! Lastly, the owner Charley is just the best to deal with. He is like an old friend!! The property manager lives in Leadville and is just a phone call away. She is amazing and very very sweet!! I can not say enough about Pine View cabin, we will miss it and will be back..!!"
