  • Absolutely Perfect!

"Wonderful home in downtown Leadville! Just one block off the main street, yet very quiet and within walking distance of all the shops and restaurants. Couldn't have been more convenient for our one week stay. Views from the upstairs deck are incredible -- watch the sun set over the two highest peaks in Colorado! House is well-maintained, very comfortable, and had everything we need for our stay (three couples and a friend). The owners were very professional and a pleasure to deal with -- I highly recommend this property. We'll be back for sure!"

  • Wonderful, relaxing vacation

"Great cabin along the Arkansas river. Very relaxing guest house tucked against some National Forest property. Great private fly fishing on property. It was so relaxing to sleep in and then just walk down to do some fly fishing for the day and then a bike ride on the Mineral Belt Trail in the afternoon in downtown Leadville. We are already booking our next trip."

  • The Cozy Cottage Was Tremendous

"My family spent 5 nights in this cottage in Leadville and we had the best vacation - ever. The cottage is clean and roomy enough for 6 of us to be very comfortable. The kitchen was great, we had several family meals together. The laundry was great, we were able to minimize the clothing we needed to pack. The bathroom, shower - all good. Grill on the back patio - - how can you go wrong? We used the Mineral Belt Trail (2 blocks from the cottage) many times, walked downtown for a few meals and general sightseeing. We launched our other adventures from this very convenient location as well; Turquoise Lake is 6 miles down the road, Mt. Elbert trailhead is 10 miles down the road, BV and whitewater rafting was 30 miles down the road. The neighbors were friendly, the view of the continental divide is fabulous, you can see the two highest peaks in the state from the back patio - - I could go on. Leadville gives off a cool vibe that I found attractive - - it has all the views and activities that a Vail and Aspen would have without the pretension. I saw a bumper sticker that said it all: "Leadville - We're Here Because We're Not All There." If you've got Wall Street money and want to stay at the InterContinental, that is awesome, do that. If you're a regular guy like me who adheres to the "....do as the Romans do..." mantra, rent this house."

  • Perfect Holiday Getaway

"We were looking for a home away from home to get the family together for Thanksgiving and this fit the bill! The house is full of old Leadville character but with all the amenities we needed. We spent every evening around the big wood burning stove and days walking around town, snowboarding, and snowshoeing. Jeff and Lisa made us feel at home and although we didn't need to take them up on it, let us know they were around if we needed anything. All VRBO experiences should be like this one!"
