  • AMAZING PLACE !!!!!!!!!!!!! I WILL BE BACK WITH MY FAMILY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"This amazing house just 2 blocks from downtown is great. This is the 2nd time we have stayed in this house. The first time was just for 2 nights on our way to another destination - after staying here 2 nights, we decided to make this our vacation destination this year. This year the owner was in town (he lives close by) - he was smoking some ribs and brisket at his house and dropped by and shared a brisket and a rack of ribs with us. We invited him in but he did not want to intrude on our vacation so he just dropped off the smoked meat. What a nice guy! The house is amazing! The views are amazing - The house is clean and very comfortable. I will be back just to enjoy this place. My kids love it - my wife loves it - we brought another couple with us this year and they fell in love with this place too. Coming to the Cooper Mtn House is a family tradition for us now - in fact we are considering coming back for ski season too!"

  • One block away from downtown!

"This antiquated and cute home is only a couple of blocks to the heart of downtown Leadville. It is clean and cozy and has all the accommodations for a home away from home. The house could use a few upgrades in terms of furnishings, but in general, it is a comfortable home ideal for large groups. We give it two thumbs up! Thank you so much for sharing your home with us."

  • Delightful hideaway reasonably priced!

"This cabin was perfect for our family! It is, indeed, cozy. It has a snug living room and a well-equipped kitchen (complete with four-burner gas stove, full-sized gas oven, and plenty of pots & pans and utensils to cook anything that strikes your fancy). The large refrigerator/freezer seems brand new, and the washer and dryer are full-sized, making it possible to do an actual load of laundry. The beds were comfortable -- in fact, they are the most comfortable we've ever slept in in a vacation rental! The cabin is in a quiet area not too densely populated, and yet it's very near the fun cafes, restaurants, and other attractions of Leadville. If you like to travel with your dog, though, you may find the best part for you is the actual doggy door leading out into a huge back yard. We'll definitely be back!"

  • The Cozy Cottage Was Tremendous

"My family spent 5 nights in this cottage in Leadville and we had the best vacation - ever. The cottage is clean and roomy enough for 6 of us to be very comfortable. The kitchen was great, we had several family meals together. The laundry was great, we were able to minimize the clothing we needed to pack. The bathroom, shower - all good. Grill on the back patio - - how can you go wrong? We used the Mineral Belt Trail (2 blocks from the cottage) many times, walked downtown for a few meals and general sightseeing. We launched our other adventures from this very convenient location as well; Turquoise Lake is 6 miles down the road, Mt. Elbert trailhead is 10 miles down the road, BV and whitewater rafting was 30 miles down the road. The neighbors were friendly, the view of the continental divide is fabulous, you can see the two highest peaks in the state from the back patio - - I could go on. Leadville gives off a cool vibe that I found attractive - - it has all the views and activities that a Vail and Aspen would have without the pretension. I saw a bumper sticker that said it all: "Leadville - We're Here Because We're Not All There." If you've got Wall Street money and want to stay at the InterContinental, that is awesome, do that. If you're a regular guy like me who adheres to the "....do as the Romans do..." mantra, rent this house."
