  • Awesome!

"This is a perfect place to stay! It's close to town but far enough away that you aren't "in" town. It's also close to jeeping trails, which was convenient for us. The studio itself is immaculate and perfect for a couple. The only thing that was odd was the shower head...I'm short so I had to kind of run around the shower to get wet. I wouldn't lower the rating based on just that though. The property manager was super friendly and awesome to deal with. Just a really GREAT place...we will go back!"

  • Great stay in Cripple Creek

"We really enjoyed our stay! This house was everything we needed. Plenty of room and privacy for five adults. Clean, fresh, and well stocked with all the basics. Could use some new beds!"

  • Wonderful Retreat

"The perfect getaway for myself and my small dog. Spent three relaxing days in this cozy retreat. Loved waking up to the sounds of the birds, sipping morning coffee on the deck. Hiked at nearby Garden of the Gods. The owners are wonderful to work with. Can't wait to come again! Highly recommended."

  • Saved our retreat!

"An unfortunate last-minute change with another property owner resulted in the very fortunate occurrence of me finding this wonderful property right in Manitou Springs where we wanted to stay! It was more than perfect for my women's retreat with 8 women! Plenty of room, huge kitchen table, cozy seating areas & comfy beds. The bedrooms were all decorated nicely with good linens. The 2nd floor bathrooms both have double sinks and a shower or bath so it was very adequate for our group. We decided not to put anyone on the 3rd floor since as the owner mentions, it is not that suitable for taller (or older) adults with the steep stairs and peaked, low ceilings. We did check it out and the beds are built into the sides of the walls which I imagine all kids would love! Plus there is a 3/4 (?) bath up there too! The backyard is spacious with a wonderful patio but we only got to have lunch outside once since the Oct weather didn’t cooperate. Many of us checked out the great views on both of the two 2nd floor balconies. We loved being able to walk down the hill to shop and hang out in Manitou all day Saturday and not have to drive, search and pay for parking. Sunday we enjoyed lounging at the residence in the “salon” after a leisurely breakfast. I would give this property 5 stars but there were some electrical outlets and lighting over the bathroom sinks that weren’t working plus a few other quirks which are probably just a result of the challenges of maintaining “this old house”. Nothing so bad we wouldn’t consider returning or highly recommend this property! We had an issue with the disposal side of the kitchen sink not draining and the owner had someone out first thing Sat morning to fix it. Fortunately it didn’t affect both sides of the sink so we weren’t hampered for our meal preparation/clean-up. After thinking I was going to have to cancel my women’s retreat and return everyone’s money at the last minute things worked out better than I could have imagined! We were all thrilled!"
