  • Great getaway in well-maintained home

"My family, including siblings and their kids, stayed here for five nights in early July. The home is set up perfectly for bigger groups - plenty of space for hanging out, cooking, eating and relaxing. The home was very clean and had all the amenities you might need, even small details like shampoo and body wash in each bathroom. Our only request (a big pot for pasta) was handled quickly by the managers. We enjoyed the billiards table and the kids loved air hockey. A few people also took advantage of the catch-and-release trout fishing. And the Pike's Peak view from the balcony was lovely! One note, the rooms are really set up for just 1-2 people sharing a bed. We had little kids who are too young for their own rooms, so we did blankets on the floor. It worked out great, we just brought the extra bedding since the house isn't set up for that. We would definitely rent this home again if we return to the area!"

  • Peaceful Perfectly Describes This Cabin

"We shared our weekend away with another family, for a total of 4 adults and 2 children. Relaxing is the word I would use to describe our experience. There was plenty of room for lounging on the sectional sofa, plus the other couch on the other side of the room. The kids played upstairs, which was nice to have that separate space for them and for us to have some intentional conversation. The dining room table is tucked away separately from where the kids were sleeping earlier in the evening so that we could play cards, laugh and not wake the kids. The kitchen had every amenity for our meals. One advantage is that there were not any immediate distractions right outside the door such as in the larger resort area. We walked in the woods and discovered a labyrinth in the midst of interesting, old trees. The kids loved playing pirate ship on the fallen trees. We enjoyed being "unplugged" without wifi to avoid the usual distractions. We also enjoyed having the TV and movies to watch. We look forward to our next visit! We love Fairplay and Alma, and Salida is one of our favorite places in the state. The best part of this location is not having to utilize I70. I was imagining what a great place this would be for a girls get away because of how conducive it would be for hanging out, quality time and comfort. I liked how you can have a quiet, isolated time OR you can head over to Breckenridge, Salida or Buena Vista too. Summer will be our next visit, as we can explore the little historic village SouthPark and enjoy one of the local fesivals."

  • Great family getaway

"My family had a blast for a week long vacation. We went down the street to Mosquito pass and drove up the 4 wheel path. My teen age boys loved the hot tub and the fire pit! We would love to come back next summer!"

  • A lovely home in an incredible location.

"We rented the home for one week in July 2015. Dave met us on time and provided a detailed breakdown of the runnings of the house. A really nice touch was the bottle of wine and gift basket full of treats. We were two families of 3 and we had plenty of room. Everything worked well and the garden of the gods club facilities were excellent. We had the pleasure of deer in the backyard on most days and one day a male with 8 points had dinner about 25 feet away. The community is nice and safe and well located to Garden of the Gods, Pikes Peak, Old Colorado City and Manitou Springs. We would definitely stay here again."
