  • Beautiful Condo Made For a Wonderful Vacation

"The first words from your mouth when you walk into this condo will be "WOW"! This is a wonderful condo...plenty of room, very clean, well-appointed. We loved having the one-car garage to park our rented SUV in during these cold winter months. The kitchen had every pot, pan, utensil and anything else you can think of for cooking a nice breakfast or dinner in the condo. There are extras added like salt/pepper, coffee filters, coffee, and syrup. There were other spices included also, but we didn't use them. Maureen even had a couple of bottled waters and beers in the fridge! What a great welcome, along with fresh baked chocolate chip cookies! We are a family of 4 and had MORE than enough room. The 2 downstairs bedrooms are HUGE with very comfortable beds. The master bath has a steam shower that my daughters loved after a day skiing at Monarch. There are plenty of towels, hairdryer and even cotton balls/Q-tips! There are 2 balconies to enjoy the beautiful Arkansas river from, one upstairs and one off the master bedroom. Also washer/dryer equipped with detergent! I cannot say enough about this condo...it was perfect! Salida is a very quaint, artsy, cool town and we loved it too! Will definitely be back!"

  • Love this Place!!

"Beautiful setting!!!! What a great place for a retreat! This house is wonderful -- very clean and comfortable, with all the amenities!. The kitchen has everything…. appliances are modern and every tool and cooking accessory is there. The location is perfect. The house is across the street from a very nice park and just a short walking distance from shops, restaurants, grocery store, library, etc. Loved staying there!!!!"

  • Clean Interior, Spectacular Views

"Perfect for a small family (2-5 people), this cabin was amazingly clean, well-stocked with items for cooking (bowls, utensils, knives, grill), and most strikingly - had a spectacular view. The view was much like a Bierstadt painting! The sleeping arrangements were comfortable - my daughter loved getting to sleep in the "special" sofa pull-out bed. I was pleasantly surprised at how comfortable the pull-out was. I loved cooking breakfast and looking out over the lake. Also, sitting on the deck with coffee and looking over the lake was a great way to relax and take a break from seeing city buildings. The owners were both very friendly and nice to our two young children (both under 4 years). If we're ever in the area again, we will definitely stay here!"

  • Nice family rental with awesome views of the mountains

"This is a very good rental for a family and/or a larger group of people. There were 6 of us during our stay (me, wife, 3 kids and mother-in-law) and it was plenty big. In fact, we could have had a lot more people stay with us. There are three bedrooms, 2 full baths and one half bath. In addition to the three bedrooms, there is a walkout basement and a loft that both have pull out sofa beds. The master bedroom had a queen sized bed; another bedroom had a full (or queen sized bed) and that last bedroom had two twin beds. There is both a hot tub and a sauna at the home. We used both. The views of the mountains from the hottub were amazing. The home is also fully stocked with lots of towels, sheets, pots & pans, silverware, a coffee pot, games, a DVD player, DirecTV satellite, and one of the most important things for us - WIFI. There are two different gas grills to use. The walkout basement is pretty much like a 4th bedroom (my teenage daughter "called it" as soon as we walked in the home). There are also built-in heaters in at least two of the bathrooms. We didn't need those . . . but I can see that being a nice option if someone stayed in the home during colder times of the year. There is a nice bar area in which to sit and there is a big table with seating for 10-12. I only have a couple of "knocks" on the property. First, the floors weren't swept or mopped when we got there. Part of this may have been attributed to us getting there an hour or so early. But it seemed like the maid was leaving when we got there. Not sure. To be fair, though, the property manager did let us in the home before the "check in" time in the contract. and the sheets & pillows are a little dated. The other thing: the sheets & pillows are a little dated. Again, neither of these was a big deal for us. We would stay there again. We also felt that the rental cost was reasonable compared to similar rentals and that it was a good value for the money spent."
