"This house is well appointed, conveniently located, spacious and a lot of fun. From a kitchen with everything you need to a fire pit in the back to cruiser bikes in the garage it has satisfied my group several years in a row. It reminds me of my grandparents place, which is a perfect atmosphere for a fast summer getaway."Guest: Big Row Date of Stay: September 2014 Review Submitted: September 17, 2014View listing
"Our two families, with 14 total, spent 7 nights here in June 2014. Our intent was to use the home as a resting place after exploring around Colorado. Yet we enjoyed it so much that we spent more time relaxing in the home than anticipated. The home is more beautiful and spacious than the online photos suggest. It is very tastefully decorated and had all of the amenities we desired. The porches (3) for summertime relaxing were frequently used and enjoyed by our group. The cabin sits overlooking the river which provided a wonderfully relaxing backdrop sound. The views from the cabin are spectacular - mountains and trees! The cabin is accessible off of the highway on only a half mile of good gravel road, yet feels more remote as it is surrounded by trees and has the roaring river as a backdrop. And the convenience of Salida and Walmart is only 25 minutes away. While in the area, we enjoyed rafting at Noah's Ark (and also their Challenge Course was a big hit!), exploring and chipmunks at St. Elmo's, K's Ice Cream in Buena Vista, nearby mountain trail hikes, fishing, and all of our group enjoyed shopping in downtown Salida. The Boathouse for dinner in Salida has great food and casual ambiance, We also took the lift up to the pass at the top of Monarch to stand on the Continental Divide. We can't hardly wait for our next opportunity to visit this area, and to stay in this cabin!!"Guest: Anonymous Date of Stay: June 2014 Review Submitted: July 7, 2014View listing
"This was our first experience with VRBO and it could not have been better. This condo was exactly what we were looking for during our visit to Salida. The location was perfect - just a short jaunt to downtown where there are many great dining options (Moonlight Pizza, Benson's Beer Garden, Little Cambodia) and the balcony river view was so beautiful and peaceful. Also, this condo has all of the amenities you could need during your stay and is very comfortable. Thank you to the owner, Maureen, for welcoming us and being great to work with. Our trip to Salida was wonderful due to the amazing hiking around the area and then having this great condo to come home to and relax. I would recommend these accommodations to all my friends and family. Thanks again!"Guest: Eliza-weiss Date of Stay: August 2014 Review Submitted: August 16, 2014View listing
