  • We'll be back!

"chose this rental because of its location; we'll be back because it is so fantastic! I almost hate to write this review because I'm afraid it will always be booked, but... Kathy and Phil have gone out of their way to create a really comfortable, welcoming (thanks for the wine!), and well-supplied home away from home, great for short or extended stays. It's close to everything, but as a previous reviewer noted, far enough away too. Comfortable beds, clean and well-maintained property, and a quiet location. We went to the Saturday farmers market at the nearby park, listened to music in downtown Salida, had great dinners at Amica's, The Fritz and Currents, ordered pizza in from Moonlight one night, and spent a very lovely evening on the patio at River's Edge. We appreciated our stay here and since we have family in Salida, will definitely be back for some extended vacations."

  • Beautiful Condo Made For a Wonderful Vacation

"The first words from your mouth when you walk into this condo will be "WOW"! This is a wonderful condo...plenty of room, very clean, well-appointed. We loved having the one-car garage to park our rented SUV in during these cold winter months. The kitchen had every pot, pan, utensil and anything else you can think of for cooking a nice breakfast or dinner in the condo. There are extras added like salt/pepper, coffee filters, coffee, and syrup. There were other spices included also, but we didn't use them. Maureen even had a couple of bottled waters and beers in the fridge! What a great welcome, along with fresh baked chocolate chip cookies! We are a family of 4 and had MORE than enough room. The 2 downstairs bedrooms are HUGE with very comfortable beds. The master bath has a steam shower that my daughters loved after a day skiing at Monarch. There are plenty of towels, hairdryer and even cotton balls/Q-tips! There are 2 balconies to enjoy the beautiful Arkansas river from, one upstairs and one off the master bedroom. Also washer/dryer equipped with detergent! I cannot say enough about this was perfect! Salida is a very quaint, artsy, cool town and we loved it too! Will definitely be back!"

  • Anniversary Vacation Stay

"The husband and I came up here for a few nights. The cabin was amazing, great layout making a very comfortable stay. The location is great. We were able to spend time in the surrounding towns getting the true feeling of Colorado. We were also able to hike Mount Yale as the mountains are just a drive up the road!"

  • Great time at the Vintage Loft

"My wife, two daughters, and I just spent a long weekend at the Vintage Loft and had a great time. The space was a perfect base for skiing at Monarch and having adventures around Salida. The Loft had everything we needed, and was very comfortable. Thanks to Jynene for being so responsive to our questions before we made the reservation and after we got to the Loft. We had a wonderful time and would definitely stay at the Loft again!"
