  • Dora's Guest House

"If you are looking for a quiet, meticulously cared for and in walking distance to Salida's downtown activities, Dvora's Guest House is for you. We loved the personal touches Dvora added to the house especially her artwork. We rent homes a lot and loved that we were personally greeted by Dvora's daughter where she answered our questions and made spot on recommendations for places to eat. On checkout we were met by Dvora who wanted to make sure that our stay went well. Of course we had a wonderful time and will return."

  • Lovely!

"We loved the well stocked cabin with the stream running peacefully outside and getting to sit in the hot tub! We even saw a bear:) The owner was very attentive and helpful, and the cabin had everything you could need. My girls loved to explore around the stream, and we went rafting and horseback riding nearby. Mom loved the Mt Princeton hot springs! We look forward to going back!"

  • Beautiful and convenient place

"Rocco's place was an absolutely perfect little getaway. My boyfriend and I stayed there over Thanksgiving - there was plenty to do in the area with the Holiday Lights Parade on Friday, nearby hot springs and just a fun little downtown area. There are plenty of restaurants and a grocery store within walking distance. Our pugs loved the stay as well!"

  • Perfect family retreat

"My family stayed in the Chalets at the Tudor Rose in early August. It was a wonderful and refreshing time. Located just 1 mile outside Salida, it's on a mountainside and very secluded. The chalets are widely spaced and arranged at angles to each other, so the sense of privacy is excellent and lets you enjoy the landscape views. We had plenty of space and the unit was clean and well equipped. Both dogs and horses are welcome, and we enjoyed seeing both there. There are several paddocks as well as an off-leash dog area well away from the other livestock. The access to town is really nice when you are cooking in a new place. We could quickly run errands if needed and not burn 1/2 a day doing it. There is no dishwasher, but all other appliances are available including coffee maker and microwave. The master bedroom is downstairs with a spacious two-sink vanity and walk-in shower. The loft has two queen beds and a large full bath. We enjoyed rafting, fishing, hiking and napping during our one-week stay. We'll definitely be back and I've already referred several people to this great place."
