  • Family Reunion

"The scenery was great. I could sit on the doorstep of each cabin and look to the Sangre de Cristo's or to the Wet Mountains and feel like I had died and gone to heaven. It was great that we could walk up and connect to the Rainbow Trail from the ranch!!! Dean and Jodi were great hosts, very helpful. The cabins were very comfortable. Some of the members of my family felt that the setting was a little "rustic" for them, but I thought it was fun to experience a ranch in the high country. I WILL GO BACK AGAIN."

  • Canada to Colorado

"This home and Cathy and Steve are awesome. Our family of four stayed in their beautiful home for three weeks in August with 11 other extended family members visiting from Southern Colorado and Alberta Canada. We had such a great time and this home was PERFECT for our needs. With a second guest bedroom on the main floor, both sets of Grandparents could avoid the stairs. With the additional bedrooms downstairs the kids had separation when they needed it and we all lived outside on the patio, in the backyard and around the fireplace making s'mores. Cathy and Steve were so lovely to work with and this home has everything you need for dining inside or out, for preparing large meals, keeping everyone entertained...you name it! Our daughters are still talking about the recreation centre and pool just a short walk from the house."

  • Neighborhood Charmer!

"This place was magnificent. It was our first time to Colorado Springs and we choose to stay in Manitou Springs specifically because of this place. Pictures cannot entirely capture the charm and comfort of this stream side home. There are 4 very comfortable bedrooms which where perfect for the size of our small family. I just loved being able to make breakfast and coffee every morning before we headed out to Garden Of The Gods or The Red Rock Open Space Park or just roaming about town. If you get a chance to make rezzies for the Cog Railroad. It was a wonderful and informative trip for the whole family. We even got to see a wedding ceremony right at the summit! IT was awesome. This stream side retreat was nothing short of spectacular. We saw plenty of dear and just loved pizza from Savelli's and Crystal Park Cantina. This neighborhood is perfect for anyone wanting to get away from a big city and experience the charm of a small town fulll of history and lots to do. Next time we are in Colorado Springs, this is my "go-to" vacation rental. Oh, and I will also try to tackle the Manitou Springs Incline. What a great little town!"

  • Perfect Retreat

"We had an outstanding time during our 1-week stay at the cabin. The accommodations were exceptional and the welcome package with lemon poppy seed cake was such a nice touch, and very much appreciated, thanks Kay... The cabin was private, cozy, clean and very well stocked - anything you can think of was on hand including a BBQ, movies, books, every kitchen utensil imaginable and the list goes on and on. The scenery and views were peaceful and tranquil - a Perfect Rocky Mountain Retreat Getaway. We also had recurring visits from a curious fox and the blue birds and other wildlife. The towns of Alma, Fairplay and Breckenridge are all close by and each of them offer a different unique experience with something for everybody. I would highly recommend this for anybody looking to get away and experience the beautiful state of Colorado and all its wonders. Rich A."
