"This downtown loft is small and cozy but feels quite spacious with the 17' ceilings and lots of natural light flooding in. I like to cook, so it was nice to be upstairs from a small grocery store and only a block from a large one. The kitchen has all the basics, but if you need anything, there's a kitchen store within a 1/4 of a block. Many of these historic rentals do not have dishwashers, but this one does. If eating out is your thing, you are within walking distance of every restaurant in downtown Salida!
The bed was comfy, the towels were fluffy, the views were awesome, everything was in good working order and very clean. In all of my communications with the owner, she was very responsive."

"This was our second visit to Lazy River Ranch and we intend to return. The house has plenty of room with an excellent open kitchen/dining/living room on the main floor. Make sure to fill the hummingbird feeder, hours of enjoyment can be had relaxing on the porch watching them and soaking up the view of the surroundings. Plan accordingly for being disconnected (no cell/internet/wifi/TV signals) and focus on where you are instead of staring at a screen attempting to determine what is happening somewhere else. There are DVD players and a decent movie library for any down time. Kaitrin is great to work with; I highly recommend the property to anyone looking to "get away" in the mountains."

"Great little cottage for the 3 of us and our dog, close to town and not too far from some great hiking trails. The Moonstone's living area was a pleasant place to relax and unwind, and the beds upstairs were very comfortable.
The kitchen provided everything we needed to do some light cooking. We woke up each morning to our dog alerting us to the group of deer who came to the creek for a drink. What a beautiful and serene sight.
The bathroom though a bit on the small side, was appointed with great linens, and was immaculate as was the rest of the cottage.
A perfect place for a short retreat."

"We stayed for the 2015 Leadville Trail 100 mountain bike Race. The house is very clean and updated. It is well situated in town and close to the main street. The owners were pleasant to deal with. Our only disappointment was the lack of laundry facilities and the BBQ ran out of gas on day 2."
