  • Stunning location, wonderful creature comforts, LOVE IT!!!

"My husband and I have stayed here several times, and we are always sad to leave. The place is so comfie, amenity filled, and the views are to die for!! A treasure tucked away in the gorgeous landscape of Twin Lakes, this cabin is beautifully designed inside and out, so thoughtfully decorated and is nestled in a very private location. It is very romantic for couples, and loads of fun for families, with year round recreational options. We adore this place, and can't wait for our next visit!!"

  • Perfect quiet getaway for small groups of friends or a family.

"We stayed here for a good friend's 30th birthday and it was just the ticket. The location and view are spectacular and the cabin was clean and well stocked. Being late October, we really enjoyed the warmth of the wood stove and the hot tub. While adults stayed in the hidden loft on this trip, it would be perfect for children as well. It was nice to stay in a place where everything worked and all of the basic amenities were covered. Highly recommended."

  • Amazing Spot, Incredible Cabin

"Spent an amazing week at the cabin during the fall. Came from Maine for a week in the Colorado high mountains and had the most incredible trip. The location is second to none, with the most amazing views of Twin Lakes, Mt Elbert and numerous other 14ers in the area. I spent many mornings with my coffee taking in the views, the alpenglow, and even saw some antelope one morning cruising past. Great spot for all - those who want to climb and hike some of the highest mountains in continental US or those who want a relaxing day, maybe a short hike or canoe on Twin Lakes and picnic lunch (great for kids too), or even those who want to just sit on the deck and take in the breathtaking scenery. The cabin is elegantly hand-crafted with fine attention to every little detail, situated with some of the best views imaginable, you might not want to leave."

Twin Lakes Travel Tips

Twin Lakes Cabins Offer a True Getaway

The first thing that people who stay in Twin Lakes cabins comment on is the view. Adjectives like spectacular, awesome and majestic are used in reviews of the properties in south central Colorado. La Plata Peak and Mount Elbert are the backdrop for the landscape with the Twin Lakes in the foreground. At night, the sky is so full of stars you will think you are in the heavens, and at 9,800 feet you almost are.

Even though Twin Lakes lodging is easily accessible from bigger towns like Aspen and Vail, you will feel like you are millions of miles away from the hustle and bustle of the city. This is a spot that has been preserved to look just as it did thousands of years ago. Since there are no lights from the city, the stars twinkle like nowhere else you have ever been and they seem so close you can reach up and touch them.

Plenty to Do in Twin Lakes

Don't let the rural setting fool you, however, into thinking there is little to do when you stay at Twin Lakes cabins. There is every type of outdoor activity you can imagine in this beautiful setting; trails for hiking and biking along with lush golf courses. In the winter, the slopes of Vail Valley and Copper Mountain are within driving distance of Twin Lakes lodging so you can enjoy a day of Alpine skiing or tubing.

Tourist Resort Areas are Close

South Central Colorado vacation rentals also put you close to the popular tourist areas of Vail and Aspen. The bigger cities are only about 50 miles away and after you spend the afternoon shopping and sight-seeing there, you can return to the tranquility of your private vacation home to gaze at the millions of stars.
