  • Iowa family retreat

"We had a wonderful family vacation while staying at the Sequoia. Fishing, hot tub and evening fires were so much fun. Great base camp for hiking and seeing the surrounding area. Only negative would be the sleeper sofas. Fine for kids but not adults. The cabin was clean and the kitchen was well equipped. Managers easy to talk to. Do need to bring Kleenex, soap and shampoo for tub and spices for use in kitchen."

"We absolutely loved the house! It was very well kept, in a great location, and the hosts were wonderful at making sure we had everything we needed. Summer here was beautiful, and we hope to come back in the winter!"

  • Great Family Get-away

"My family of five adults enjoyed staying at the Gressoney! The house was nicely furnished, very clean, and had everything we needed for our summer vacation. The lay-out was very nice with 2 full bathrooms and additional vanities with sinks in each downstairs bedroom. The hot tub had just been drained and was exceptionally clean. The surroundings were beautiful and well=kept. As this was our first time to visit this area, we were surprised to find that the house was close to Hwy 160 and that there was quite a bit of traffic noise.(This is what kept this review from being 5 stars for us.) WiFi and cell service was spotty, but that wasn't a necessity. Overall, I would highly recommend the Gressoney!"

  • Wonderful vacation experience!

"We stayed five nights in the Coyote cabin and found it to be extremely comfortable, well equipped, and very clean and tidy. The furnishings fit with a cabin décor and it was especially nice to have a washer/dryer and dishwasher! The cabin is equipped with everything you need, down to dishwashing detergent, towels, paper towels, T.P., and all the pots, pans, and dishes you would ever need. Really, all you need to bring are food and clothing. We did find a couple of issues, which we addressed with the caretakers: there were no steps to climb into the hot tub, so we were unable to use it. Also, the T.V. went in and out, and we were unable to connect to the internet on most occasions. The T.V. and net were non-issues with me, because that's not why I go to the mountains, but we would have liked to use the hot tub. Also, we would have been a bit more comfortable without dogs running loose on the property. We kept our own dogs on leash, which is suggested in the "rules" posted on the fridge. The property is beautiful and the cabin is situated very close to the river. The caretakers were extremely friendly and were there to meet us when we arrived at the cabin. The cabin is well situated for day trips to Creede, Alamosa, or just scenic drives. I do suggest that you plan ahead for groceries. There is a small grocery in Southfork, but a larger one in Pagosa Springs. I give this experience five stars because my husband and I were so happy to find such a beautiful clean cabin in such a beautiful area of Colorado. We definitely plan a return trip next year!"
