"My family and I really enjoyed our stay at this home. It is in a great location, close to several attractions. It is only minutes from the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, Manitou Springs, Colorado Springs, Pikes Peak, Garden of the Gods, etc. We REALLY loved the open space and reservior that was walking distance from the house. We loved going on hikes with our dog up the reservior for her to swim. It was absolutely gorgeous! It is located on a gravel road with a few deep pot holes but nothing that would deter us from renting this home again. It was a quiet street."

"Our family of 4 (2 teenagers) and a dog had an awesome time in this cabin! Janet is a wonderful host and treated us like family. She gave us as much privacy as we wanted, but she is a hoot and we invited her to a grilled fish dinner one evening on her deck. We also enjoyed several Bon fires with her and another friend. The drive up CR5 is charming with little to no traffic, which was awesome. Road is maintained, no prob for 2 wheel drive. As we drove up her aspen-lined road, it opened up to her Beautiful cabin. The apartment is very charming, sqeaky clean, and comfortable. It had everything we needed. I enjoyed my coffee every morning at the top of the stairs while watching dozens of hummingbirds come to the feeder. We are a fishing family and there are many lakes to choose from within a 30 mile radius. Easy to get to. Of course shopping in Dillon and Breckinridge is close too, which my teenage daughter liked! The views from the cabin are everything to be expected in the mountains. Looked like a painting. We stayed a week, and have been home a few days and I already miss that place. Great value. Book it!"

"The house was great for our family in that everyone had their own bedroom and bathroom. We found out that the house use to be a bed and breakfast! The decor on the 1st and 3rd floors were wonderful. The main floor with the kitchen was a little outdated, but the view from the balcony was spectacular. We cooked each night and I did have to go to the Dollar General in town and buy a few pots, but was still cheaper than taking the whole family out to dinner each night.
The only down side to this house is that it is not close to town or many activities. I had people from 7 months to 30 years and there wasn't a lot of hiking around the house. We were 40 minutes from Breckinridge and about 15 minutes from Fairplay, but the kids would have like having something they could walk to. I didn't really understand that when I booked the house. That was my fault, not theirs. I had a few questions for the owner and he emailed me promptly back when we were there.
I would recommend this house for couples and families that don't mind driving each day to activities. I was glad that the 7 month old wasn't walking, because I would have really worried about him on the deck."
