"I couldn’t ask for a better place to go on my first elk hunt. I harvested a bull on the first day of first rifle season and all three of my hunting partners each had a bull down by the third day! All four bulls were taken right on the property--only a few hundred yards from the cabin. We spent the rest of our week hanging out in the cabin, playing pool, and telling stories about the hunts. We’d all love to come back again."

  • Wonderful Mountain Home

"This is a great mountain home! It is very well furnished including the kitchen which has everything. The outdoor fireplace is sublime in the cool summer evenings with a million stars. This is a great place in a great area. I hope to come back!"

  • Perfect Getaway Cabin

"My husband and I stayed in this lovely cabin for several days as part of our annual Colorado vacation. The cabin was perfect and fully met all of our expectations. It is located in a gated community as stated, and it was everything we were looking for. If you don't mind driving several miles back dirt roads (which are well-maintained), and if you want to see a lot of wildlife, then this is the cabin for you! We bought supplies at a grocery store in Pueblo and made most of our meals in the cabin. While there, we enjoyed a drive along the Highway of Legends, CO Highway 12, from La Veta to Trinidad which was absolutely beautiful, especially in September! We also took another day to drive to Antonito and catch a ride on the Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad. We actually made our reservations beforehand and decided to ride their bus from Antonito to Chama, NM, and then ride the train back to Antonito. We highly recommend this train ride... it was amazing and spectacular! This is a great getaway place for those seeking privacy, seclusion and beauty! There are enough nearby interesting places to check out if you want, but it is also a great place to just sit back, kick your feet up and relax!"

"A very charming, comfortable & great place to stay! It was easy to find & located to everything we needed. Had the best time in Pueblo & really appreciated that the home had everything we needed to cook & we relaxed so comfortably after ventures to sites & shopping. Plan to go back & stay longer next time. Thanks Jim for providing such a fine place & responding so quickly to our needs/questions."
