  • Perfect for my outdoorsmen'

"We were amazed by the wildlife around your house, some of which we were able to snap pictures of. On Monday evening when we got back to the cabin for the evening there was a huge herd of elk, at least 40-50, right at the fence in the front of the cabin. I am attaching a picture for you. They had moved just a bit by the time we got the camera, but it's still an amazing site. Would you be able to forward the picture to Lyn? He asked to see it but I didn't have it on me when we left. I told him I would send it to you. The boys absolutely LOVED the horses and spent time with them every day. I've attached some pictures of that as well. One morning there were elk right outside the bedroom window and another morning mule deer outside at the bottom of the back deck......simply amazing! The hiking was perfect for the kids, you would've thought we reached the top of Mt. Everest when we got to the top. They were so excited! They made memories that will last a lifetime and are already wanting to come back. My husband is a big hunter and may contact you for his next trip out west. Thanks again for everything! God Bless,"

  • Wonderful Mountain Home

"This is a great mountain home! It is very well furnished including the kitchen which has everything. The outdoor fireplace is sublime in the cool summer evenings with a million stars. This is a great place in a great area. I hope to come back!"

  • Lovely Spot Near the Mountains

"We had a lovely time staying at this cabin in Cuchara. The house is comfortable and very clean. The twin beds are a bit small -- they would work fine for younger kids but were not so great for teenagers. The town of Cuchara is small, but charming. Our teenagers really like the miniature golf course. The mushrooms at The Timbers are superb. There is a nice hike close to the house where you can walk up to see the dikes (you have to make your own path at the top of the trail, but it was not hard to do). The drive to Trinidad is really beautiful, but there isn't much to do in Trinidad -- just a few stores and a few art galleries. The lakes along the way are beautiful and its worth taking a quick detour off the main road to see the mining town of Cokedale. My favorite activity was sitting on the lovely porch reading while I listened to the flow of the river."
