"If you have ever wondered what it’s like to live like a billionaire then just stay at this magnificent 5,250 square foot luxury mountain home on 52 wooded acres high above Crested Butte. It is located in an exclusive gated subdivision accessed by private road from Colorado Highway 12, part of the West Elk Scenic byway that leads over Kebler Pass to the Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park. My wife and I stayed here one week in June. Of the dozens of properties all over the US we have stayed at, this is our new favorite because of the magnificent mountain views and luxury of the home. The snow covered mountain view from the relaxing hot tub is spectacular after a long day outdoors. The owner Jeff and his caretaker Eric were wonderful and accommodating in every way and the friendliest people you could hope to meet. Although completely private high up in the mountains at 10,000 feet, it is only a few minutes drive down to the town of Crested Butte. Walking distance from the property is the Green Lake hiking and mountain biking trail leading either up to this remote mountain lake in the Gunnison national forest, or down to the town of Crested Butte. We went hiking, jeeping, and mountain biking every day in the surrounding wilderness, and returned to the luxury and seclusion of this mountain home at night. Very highly recommended."

"We loved this trip even more than our honeymoon, and we are planning to come back when our baby is 3 and ready for ski school! The place is so adorable, and the cabin's design and decor is similar to all the beautiful little shops and restaurants on Elk Street, which feels really special. It was great being able to cook to save a little money, but being walking distance to such great food was awesome, too. Easy to create a balance. The hot tub is fantastic after a day on the mountain, and the bed was comfy. Everything about this property is just stellar for a couple looking to get away. Also, if you're unfamiliar with CB, the shuttle is so easy to use into the mountain. We literally walked a half block to the stop, and the shuttle runs every fifteen minutes. We loved staying in town for the charm all around us, and it wasn't challenging in the least to make our way out to the slopes. So he location and accommodations were both just outstanding!"

"We rented Coal Creek Hideaway for a family wedding. Eight of us stayed here in August 2015 for five nights. The location is outstanding. The deck with hot tub overlooks Coal Creek. The setting is very private - not an easy thing to find in Crested Butte. It is easy to walk into town and to access the bus stop. The fenced yard was perfect for our dog. I think the thing we enjoyed the most was how well appointed the house was and how many luxurious touches were included. The owners have thought of everything including things like extra silverware and dishes, umbrellas, slippers, bathrobes, books, games and more. It is clear that this house is loved and has much personality. The upstairs master suite is fantastic with a huge bathroom and a wonderful shower - perfect for sore muscles after a hike. The apartment accessed from the stairs outside was wonderful for our adult children. They could stay up as late as they wanted without disturbing anyone. I love to cook and I found the appliances in the kitchen to be top notch and there as a large array of pots, pans, serving dishes and other gadgets. I brought along extra napkins, pots, silverware etc. and I didn't need them. I fed 18 family members one night and 16 another night. It was perfect. The beautiful yard was great for our corn hole game and the flowers bright and well cared for. I could go on and on. Bottom line is that I would rent this house again in a heartbeat for any time of year. Thank you to the owners for sharing your lovely home with us. It was a home not just a house like so many other rentals we have stayed in. We live in Colorado and have visited Crested Butte on many occasions. This was the best rental experience we have ever had there."
