  • Great Cabin, Fantastic Town!

"We make it a point to spend at least a week in Crested Butte every year. With the knees not being what they once were, hiking and biking have now replaced skiing. But what a place to joy the outdoors! Especially when the Aspens change color. The Miners Cabin has everything your looking for. A large comfortable King bed in the master, fully stocked kitchen, sauna, hot tub, and a location that is just a short walk to Elk Street with all it's restaurants and eclectic shops. The local bus also stops just down the block for free transportation to the ski slopes. Pefect stay! We'll do it again soon!"

  • Great ski weekend!

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Crested Butte! The condo was perfect for our two families! The girls stayed in one bunk room and the boys in the other while the parents were across the family room -- privacy for all :-) Everything we needed to make our stay comfortable was there, including the heated pool and sauna! The shuttle was super convenient outside the building door, but we walked across the road a couple times too and were at the base of the mountain in no time! Thank you for letting us share your beautiful home!"

  • Charming, comfortable cottage w/ awesome private, fenced-in backyard

"My husband and I stayed at this property for a week in July and thoroughly enjoyed it. It is the perfect combination of rustic charm (exposed beams, potbelly fireplace, hardwood floors, vintage antiques displayed, etc.) and updates (comfy bed, wifi, stainless steel appliances, bathrooms, jacuzzi tub, light fixtures, small flat screen, stereo system). The listing description and photos are accurate. In fact, the backyard patio is even more inviting and charming in person. What a great place to relax after an active day in the mountains! We slept in the upstairs lofted area. The bed was very comfy. The pictures don't really show it, but it's worth mentioning that the upstairs bathtub is right near the bed. They handle it well with a fabric screen if you want to close it off a little bit. It didn't bother us at all. (We just put the screen in the closet to keep the space open.) With or without the screen, there's still privacy when you use the sink or toilet. Plus, the ceilings are vaulted with tons of natural light. Very open and airy. The location is super convenient -- just 2 blocks off the main drag, Elk Ave, with all the restaurants and shops. In fact, when you walk to Elk Ave from the cottage, you are immediately at Secret Stash, the super popular pizza restaurant in town. (You pass one of our other favorite restaurants, Marchitelli's, if you are in the mood for Italian.) If you are familiar with the town, please don't overlook this cottage b/c it's on Whiterock, (which has a mix of beautiful renovated/restored homes with some rundown homes). We slept with our windows open -- just normal, acceptable "noises" like occasional dogs barking, people talking as they walk by, cars driving by, etc. While there wasn't really much of a need to interact with the property manager (Alpine Getaways), when I did, they were responsive. I would not hesitate to recommend this property to friends and family. We would return to this property in a heartbeat."
