  • great location and weather

"We loved the location and views and the back lower level deck was just big enough for us. Kitchen well stocked and large couch for all of us. Only complaint is tree in front drops lots of sticky pieces which is probably why they want shoes removed. Area is very dog friendly and lots of hiking and biking available in area. Shuttle can take you to town if you don't want to walk (2 miles each way) or a quick hike up to the ski area (less than 10 minute walk). Beds were very cuffy and lots of towels and great to have 2 bathrooms. Fireplace was great for cooler evenings. The area is great and the owners were very cooperative and quick at offering information. We will be back!"

  • First impression

"We arrived Monday and our family will be staying here until next Monday. There are 8 adults and an 11 year old. We will post again after our stay but had to share what an amazingly beautiful and well-appointed home this is. Aside from the setting being spectacular, the home itself is really beautiful. We are very impressed by the furnishings and comforts provided for us. We have cooked in the kitchen, grilled out on the deck, and done laundry. We love it."

  • Incredible Stay of a Lifetime

"I'm actually a bit embarrassed I've waited this long to write my review but I simply got busy. My family was presented with a rare and wonderful opportunity this past summer when my wife earned a paid four week sabbatical from her job enabling us to spend four consecutive weeks at this wonderful home. I work remotely but phone and computer so I was able to work about half the trip and take vacation days for the rest. This home and location are just incredible! The pictures just do not capture the views. We must have take 100 photos of the sunset over Mt. Whetstone. The great room has floor to ceiling windows and on the backside you feel like your just part of an aspen grove. On the front side is Mt. Whetstone which can be viewed from the deck off the great room floor or from the other deck off the first floor where the hot tub is. I could go on and on about how great CB is, all the hiking, the fishing, mountain biking, ziplines, etc... but the reality is we spent much of our time just sitting out on the deck looking at the mountain with a glass of wine in hand! Of course, being there for a month we did all the other things too. The drive way is steep but my wife's sedan made it without issue. Every day I would walk down the driveway to the "street" (more of a gravel road) and walk all the way down to the end of the road and turn around. The views once you get down to the end of the drive look back into CB and all the mountains surrounding it. My dog and I did this walk at least once a day. Round trip was about 45 minutes and it was phenomenal. There are only two more houses past this house and both were unoccupied for most of our stay. Mornings in August were cool and crisp and I typically had to wear a fleece in the morning. The beds were comfortable. The caretaker (Bill) was a great guy too. We had a few small appliance problems that were addressed quickly and easily. When we got back to the heat of Texas I was in a funk for about 2 weeks. Our month went by so fast. I cannot recommend this home highly enough. I wish we could go back for ski season. It would be about a 20 minute drive to the ski slopes, FYI. We have stayed in about a dozen VRBO properties now including some very nice homes in other beautiful locations. This house ranks at the very top now for total experience."

  • Great CB ski condo

"Fabulous condo, walk across street to lift, walk out the door 100 feet to the hot tub. Very well appointed furnishings and properly equipped (including in the kitchen, where other condos we've stayed in have often disappointed). We would definitely consider staying here again on our next trip to CB. Only one small suggestion: fully automate the payment/paperwork process (but that was a very minor issue). Thanks!"
