"Where you stay DOES matter. This gorgeous condo was definitely one of the highlights of our winter vacation. I remember thinking the first night..."oh, this bed feels SOO good." It's not often you stay at a place where everything was even MORE wonderful than described! The designer decor, amazing art work, luxury bedding and comfortable furniture let us know immediately this was no ordinary rental unit. We had three couples in our group and three kids. Each couple had their own bedroom and bath and the kids had the loft. This large condo allowed everyone to have their own space. The well-equipped kitchen had EVERYTHING we needed--digital mixer, electric hot water kettle (for hot chocolate) and a nice dutch oven for our pulled pork. We bought all our groceries at WalMart in Durango and cooked all our meals at the condo. Covered parking is so nice when you're loading and unloading luggage or TWENTY bags of groceries! After skiing, our group headed for the swimming pool (kids loved it) and large indoor hot tub (adults enjoyed this while watching kids splash in pool). We had a great time sledding one afternoon, and another day we combined our efforts on the tennis court and built a seven foot snowman and a smaller "snow boy." The next day we were surprised to find our snow family had been joined by SEVEN other snow people. So many wonderful memories!!! The wine bar area was a great bonus. We kept desserts and snacks on top the bar and the wine frige kept our bottled water, sports drinks, beer and wine ice cold. This condo provided a ton of nice games for kids, two SMART TVs, a smaller TV in the master, and an assortment of reading material. The kids enjoyed playing Monopoly and Clue on the game table and the three-year old loved playing Angry Birds on the large coffee table that had chairs "just his size." We had a fire nearly every night as we watched spectacular sunsets from our corner condo. Each morning we would pull back the shades as we ate breakfast and the mountain views would take our breath away. This condo was spotlessly clean and the many bonuses and extras are just too numerous to mention. We can't thank you enough for sharing your amazing vacation home with us. Our three-year old grandson summed up our feelings when we got back to Texas--"I want to go back to Colorado!""Guest: Sunshine Date of Stay: March 2014 Review Submitted: March 22, 2014View listing
