"Home is similiar to a resort lodge with many nice interior furnishings to compliment cabins style and design....large deck overlooking lake below providing fantastic view and privacy with sun room / spa feature to relax in as well. We had several groups of people staying in cabin and had pleanty of room and privacy - close to all outdor activities with easy acess to main road if you need to go to Durango for supplies or shopping. One week here is just a teaser as several weeks in Summer is needed to take in all outdoor activities -we are in process of planning for one month stay next August / September to view change of season tree leaf colors and enjoy cooler weather. "We found the VBO home very adequate, well equipped and with lots of room for our family (six adults and 4 children). The views were magnificent even with some rainy weather. The descriptions of the property including photos were generally accurate. A couple of homes were nearer than we had anticipated but we still felt quite alone and isolated. We would highly recommend this property to friends and relatives. We had lots of fun hiking, fishing, riding bikes and taking advantage of some of the activities at the Durango Mountain Resort. Also enjoyed a day in Durango and a trip on the narrow gauge railway."Guest: Roy A. Date of Stay: August 2013 Review Submitted: August 15, 2013View listing
"Angelhaus is an older and more modest condo among many luxury condos in this up-scale ski resort. We had fun in Durango, Silverton (by train), Mesa Verde, and Ouray (by scary road over beautiful mountains). The unit itself has the basic equipment and furnishing. If you are fussy about the quality of such things, this one is not for you. The price is right. The staff was friendly, responsive, and helpful. We'd come again."Guest: Frank from Fla Date of Stay: June 2010 Review Submitted: June 12, 2010View listing
"This was our family's 2nd Summer to stay up at Durango Mountain. We thought we'd try a different condo, and this one seemed to fit the needs. First off, the PROs of this place: Awesome location right off the slopes. Literally ski in/hike in. Nice option for pets, which are allowed. Nice layout and plenty big. Nice upstairs bathroom that was renovated. Nice covered parking. The CONs: the place was not super clean upon arrival. The linens were old and sparse. The carpet is old. Definitely bring your own everything...we had to replace most of the lightbulbs upon arrival (most were burned out). Brought our own cleansers, paper products, etc. The bottom line is that you are paying for the location and spacious layout. Perfect fit, if you are not picky!"Guest: texmex2 Date of Stay: July 2012 Review Submitted: August 2, 2012View listing
