"We were very pleased with this cabin. The cabin was clean and had everything we needed and more. It has the feel of a secluded cabin in the woods, but is also close to Durango. The sounds of the rushing river, right in front of the cabin, soothed us to sleep at night and was a pleasure to wake up to each morning. There is also a stocked pond right outside the door for fishing. We had a wonderful time and hated to leave!!"

"This was our first trip to Durango and did we ever luck out with this amazing cabin! The location is PERFECT! It could not be any better! It is right across HWY 550 from Haviland Lake, 10 minutes from Purgatory/Durango Mt and only 15/20 minutes into Durango. We hiked, biked, and ate our way through Durango and this cabin gave us the perfect location to do everything we wanted to do! Our Boston Terrier, Harold enjoyed the property too and we were so thrilled to find a gorgeous well kept pet friendly property! The hot tub was a true treat and we enjoyed it every nigh as we watched the shooting stars! The view from the deck was STUNNING day or night- the pictures do not do it justice! The cabin was perfectly laid out and we ate many meals at home and spent evenings on the balcony enjoying the views of Engineer Mountain and the Needle Mountain Range. Truly, the location and the quality of this cabin made our experience stellar and the property manager greeted us upon arrival and answered every concern/question we had during the stay. This was an amazing experience and we cannot wait to return next summer!"

"From the moment we pulled up, we knew that we had made the right decision choosing this VRBO. The home is beautiful, very clean and well stocked with all the essentials for your home away from home. We were greeted with fresh flowers and a spectacular view from the large porch. The house was laid out in such a way that everyone had plenty of space and we were able to enjoy family time in the common areas of the home for a family of 6 - including 2 children and 2 grandparents. The kitchen is laid out where we could cook and talk to family in the dinning area. We were also able to get multiple cooks in the kitchen at one time. The house is just minutes from town but you would think you were in the wilderness since there is only 1 house in sight of the house. We were able to raft, ride the train, ATV and horseback ride as well as soak in the hot springs with only a short commute from our home base. We had a wonderful time, my only caution would be for folks who have a hard time with stairs- the common areas are all on the upper floor."

Unplugg from your daily grind & recharge those batteries.
"That is exactly what we did when we spent 2 glorious weeks at the HD Ranch. The guesthouse is beautiful. The surroundings are magnificent, and Francie & her staff are top notch. If you just need a place to relax & unwind, this is the place. Visits twice daily from her hounds are a welcomed treat. We are looking forward to our next trip in Feb 2016."
