"Rio Angels was a great vacation spot for our family of four, the house had everything we needed and plenty of room for us and our two teenagers. We loved having the river right out the back door and the privacy of being on a large, fairly secluded lot. Going back and forth to Durango for rafting, eating, shopping, etc. was quick and easy and we were close enough to other great places to see like the Mesa Verde National Park, Lake Vallecito and Pagosa Springs that the location really worked for us.
We fished the Animas from the property (lots of rain this year so the river was running high and fast making fishing tough), we sat by the fire pit, watched the Durango fire works on the 4th in the rain from the top of the driveway and watched the lightning over the hills from the back deck. Overall a cool experience.
Our only surprise was that the property was a little closer to the road(s) and the commercial area than we expected, it made it very convenient but not quite as secluded as we expected. It would be good to have a DVD player for the downstairs TV also so everyone could watch a movie without being in the bedroom. Either way we had a great time, the house was clean and well appointed and we would go back again."

"I stayed in this house for a skiing trip and I could not have been happier about my decision. This home fit eight people comfortably and was a mere 30 minutes away from Purgatory resort.
My entire group had a great time and constantly complimented on the state of the house. The grill and the hot tub also worked wonderfully and were kept in excellent condition.
Overall, I had a wonderful vacation for a very good price and I would recommend this property to anyone looking to do the same."

"The Stone Creek Pond House was the perfect home for our family to enjoy a tranquil Christmas Holiday. The home is cozy yet a little roomier than what we perceived from the photos. Beautiful views of the valley and mountains from each window which were made even more spectacular by the surprising white Christmas morning (Driveway and roadways were plowed). We enjoyed a magical sleigh ride in the National Forest with Rapp Corral - highly recommended! And of course enjoyed skiing at the nearby mountain resort, know locally as "Purg". The home was very clean, nicely decorated and well equipped with everything we needed. Shannon, the home owner, was very friendly and responsive. We highly recommend this home for anyone's next Durango getaway unless of course we are back staying there again. Next time it will be summer so we can enjoy the pond. Thanks Shannon! Lisa and Tim Main and family"

"Our party of 11 just spent a week at the Lodge at Mill Creek. What a wonderful experience! We came from all over - Indiana, Alabama and the Denver area. Everyone's expectations were met, to the fullest! The house was fabulous - generous rooms, jaw-dropping view from the deck and the kitchen window .... never had any problem convincing anyone to wash or dry the dishes, because we would just stand there and gawk at the three peaks with their snow-capped tops. Kitchen was a dream ..... so easy to work in, and plenty of room for 11 people to mill around, waiting for the food to come forth. Appreciated the special water filtration facet - we were consuming tons of water to help fend off any altitude issues. Would recommend this home in a heart-beat, and wish life would provide us with a second chance to revisit."
