  • Wonderful Home.

"My stepfather, brother-in-law and myself stayed in this beautiful home. Trust me the pictures do it no justice. It's far enough from Durango for peace and quiet (very quiet) but yet close enough to town if you want to run in and shop or eat that is no problem. We were on a mens fly fishing trip. And you couldn't ask for a nicer spot. Very close to quality waters. This house would also be great just for a family trip. Lots of room and a beautiful setting. Chris was so helpful and you couldn't ask for a better home owner."

  • Excellent Durango Vacation Rental Home.

"We very much enjoyed our stay at this home. It was comfortable and convenient and is perfect for a large group or family. The hot tub certainly hits the spot after a long day on the slopes at DMR."

  • VAL

"It was a great place to stay. There were 10 of us, all couples attending the bike rally in Ignacio. The owners were welcoming and helpful. I would recommend this place and would differently stay again if we are in this area. It was a little ride to the rally but not to far. We saw a beautiful Buck out the back window one morning and enjoyed sitting under the stars in the hot tub at night. Down stairs was fresh all day long. Nice place for a nap on a hot day. This place is nice for anyone wanting a nice relaxing place to stay, fully furnished with everything and very clean. Thank you so much Doug and Liz."

  • Oasis in the hills

"Two families stayed here with kids ages 10 to 14. The bunk room was a perfect hangout (ping pong was a big hit with the Dads as well)! They kids loved visiting Teddy's fort too. Spacious and comfortable, this was an ideal place for all of us. The teens had their own rooms although they stayed in the bunk room with the other 2 on some nights. The big kids (parents) enjoyed the peace and quiet of the evenings nestled in the forest. The new hammock we had brought along was perfect! Everything at the property was well maintained, super clean with plenty of extra sheets and towels. Great to be in Durango in the summer for a change, with plenty to do. A perfect place to hang out and relax (or be active)!"

Private Homes Travel Tips

After you visit once, it's a place that you will want to visit time and time again. Southwest Colorado offers an abundance of outdoor activities regardless of the season. You'll truly appreciate your surroundings at Durango vacation homes. Whether you are drawn by the mountains, the clear blue lakes and streams, or the majestic forests, everywhere you look there is something spectacular to see.

Durango Vacation Homes are Surrounded by Beauty

Durango lodging is nestled up in the San Juan Mountain Range, which features the amazing Hermosa Cliffs. The dramatic lines of the cliffs glisten with snow in the winter and invite hikers and rock climbers in the spring. While the mountains provide the backdrop for the landscape, the lakes and streams are just as spectacular. Besides being beautiful, these bodies of water are also great for fishing. A favorite spot for a picnic lunch is along the banks of Electra Lake.

Top Attractions Are Just a Short Drive Away

The Durango vacation homes are centrally located in this resort area and make an excellent base for your visit to southwest Colorado. The famous Purgatory ski area is only about 10 miles from this Durango lodging, and there you can engage in a number of winter activities. In addition to alpine skiing for all levels, there is also snowboarding, tubing, snow biking and sleigh rides. New snow is never a concern in Purgatory because this region gets over 20 feet of snow a year.

Enjoy all the Comforts of Home

The main reason you should choose Durango vacation rentals is the privacy you will receive. You will be able to appreciate the serenity of the area while staying in your own private vacation home instead of some busy tourist resort. If you really want to get away from it all, this is the place to be.
