"We had a fabulous trip and loved the accommodations, this was the perfect home away from home. Very clean and organized, everything was well thought out in regards to knowing what people might need. The view was spectacular and the skiing perfect, we fell in love with all of Purgatory. The furniture placement was great, lots of seating for family breakfast and dinners not to mention the spacious living area. We created wonderful memories and really enjoyed the accommodations. We hope to return for White Water rafting! Thank you for everything!"

  • A PERFECT summer in Durango

"We thoroughly enjoyed staying in this home just north of downtown Durango. Our stay was for two months and we loved it. The house was perfect and had nice finish throughout with granite counters, hardwood floors, comfortable beds and everything you would need for a month long stay. I appreciated that the owners did not 'over accessorize' with a lot of decor. It was really nice, clean and simply decorated. NOT fussy! The kitchen was great, w/ a LARGE island that you could either work from or pull up a stool to sit and eat dinner. Spacious bedrooms all upstairs. There is not an air conditioner and I was a bit apprehensive about that, but the window fans were adequate for the evenings in drawing in the cool air. Outside we used the grill and a picnic table in the private backyard space. The home is situated nicely as far as proximity to town (about 2 miles), to the rodeo grounds, library, rec center, River Walk (about .5 to 1 mile). We hiked every day/evening to trails that were within a few miles to a short 15 minute drive away. You will also be within a short drive to Mesa Verde, Silverton, Telluride and Pagosa Springs. I think that this house is the BEST deal you will find also for a month stay. The owner was easily contacted via email. We really did not have any issues, so did not need to call him for any reason. If you are considering Durango for a month vacation, I can't think of a better spot!"

  • Lovely Home with Terrific Views

"We enjoyed a lovely four night stay at this beautiful home across President's Day weekend. We were two families, including four adults and three children (ages 1 through 10). The house is laid out extremely well, with two large private master suites and a bunk room that's terrific for kids. There is ample room for ski gear and boots etc in the large entrance and mudroom. The great room is large and comfortable for hanging out and enjoying the awesome views and unbelievable sunshine that beams in all afternoon. The photos online do not do it justice. The one piece of feedback we gave after our visit was that the pots and pans were past their prime and could use updating. The manager, who is fantastic and super responsive and made organizing our stay very easy, said she would take care of it. It was a minor annoyance in what was otherwise a great stay."

  • Incredible Views

"We are so glad we chose to rent this house instead of staying in a hotel. Very comfortable beds, fun decor, and a well-stocked with staples and amenities. The views made staying in the house better than going out!"

Durango Travel Tips

Vacation in the Mountains at Durango Vacation Homes

Durango is a beautiful mountain resort in Colorado, and the best way to enjoy your vacation is by staying in one of the Durango vacation homes.

Vacation rentals provide you with a home away from home where you can enjoy amenities such as a fully equipped kitchen, private bedrooms, family areas, decks and more.

When choosing your Durango lodging, look beyond the normal hotels. Why stay in a small impersonal hotel room when you can enjoy the space and comfort of a vacation home? Hotels can be noisy with neighbors slamming doors, running down the hallways and blasting the volume on their television. Your hopes for a relaxing vacation can be ruined in an instant.

All the Comforts of Home

Rent a privately owned Durango lodging, and you'll be transported to the best of both worlds—a gorgeous mountain resort while relaxing in a rental with all the comforts of home.

Each of the Durango vacation rentals has its own particular charm, amenities and accommodations that spell comfort and privacy. In some of the rentals you'll find enough private rooms and sleeping quarters such as lofts to fit the entire family or group of friends. Many of the rentals have washers and dryers, cable or satellite television, decks and patios with barbecues and gorgeous lake or mountain views.

If you're looking for luxury, you can find a rental with a hot tub, fireplace, gourmet kitchen and luxurious bedding.

Activities Galore in Durango

You won't get bored when you stay in Durango, and your vacation home gives you easy access to all the area's activities. In the winter you can ski, snowmobile, take horse-drawn sleigh rides and snowboard. In the summer, Vallecito Lake offers swimming and boating. Or just sit on the deck of your Durango vacation home and enjoy the surrounding nature.
