  • Great place for a group.

"I rented the house in order to have several different family members stay together when they came for our daughters wedding in Durango. The house worked out great for us. It is perfect for a group. Each couple had their own room and bathroom. Our group had several cars and there was ample parking. Everything was updated and in great shape. It has a remote, private feel and yet it is so close to town. The views are gorgeous. The property manager was very responsive and helpful. It was a bit hard to find at first, especially at night. I would highly recommend it and would not hesitate to stay there again."

  • Relaxing Getaway

"We enjoyed staying in this lovely house, with all the amenities of home. The house was very beautiful and comfy. The best part was grilling on the back porch while enjoying the mountain views."

  • Spectacular Views, Rustic but Modern Cabin

"This cabin was a perfect mix of rustic but modern, and I loved the bear theme throughout. With three couples and a 5-year-old, the home offered adequate privacy even with the loft upstairs. You definitely need to keep your eye on any children, as this home is literally at the edge of a cliff which is separated by the deck. The views were unprecedented not only in the day but at night, when you could see the Milky Way, stars, and satellites with the clarity of the dark night sky. The home is located right next to another home, which I wasn't expecting, but the group kept to themselves. But worth mentioning if you're looking for complete solitude, as we were. Also - it would have been great if there was more than one roll of TP for each bathroom and laundry detergent for the towels which we were asked to wash! I remember, in retrospect, the mgmt. company asking us to bring some paper items but forgot, as I'm sure others have too. Other than that - this is a beautiful location with enough space to move around and enjoy the spectacular views of Durango."

  • What could be better than to be at the base of the ski resort?

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a great vacation. Kendall was located right at the base of the mountain. We could come in for lunch, if we wanted a change of pace from Dante's (although we love Dante's chili!). We enjoyed a wood burning fire every night, and the condo was equipped with pretty much everything we needed."

Durango Travel Tips

Vacation in the Mountains at Durango Vacation Homes

Durango is a beautiful mountain resort in Colorado, and the best way to enjoy your vacation is by staying in one of the Durango vacation homes.

Vacation rentals provide you with a home away from home where you can enjoy amenities such as a fully equipped kitchen, private bedrooms, family areas, decks and more.

When choosing your Durango lodging, look beyond the normal hotels. Why stay in a small impersonal hotel room when you can enjoy the space and comfort of a vacation home? Hotels can be noisy with neighbors slamming doors, running down the hallways and blasting the volume on their television. Your hopes for a relaxing vacation can be ruined in an instant.

All the Comforts of Home

Rent a privately owned Durango lodging, and you'll be transported to the best of both worlds—a gorgeous mountain resort while relaxing in a rental with all the comforts of home.

Each of the Durango vacation rentals has its own particular charm, amenities and accommodations that spell comfort and privacy. In some of the rentals you'll find enough private rooms and sleeping quarters such as lofts to fit the entire family or group of friends. Many of the rentals have washers and dryers, cable or satellite television, decks and patios with barbecues and gorgeous lake or mountain views.

If you're looking for luxury, you can find a rental with a hot tub, fireplace, gourmet kitchen and luxurious bedding.

Activities Galore in Durango

You won't get bored when you stay in Durango, and your vacation home gives you easy access to all the area's activities. In the winter you can ski, snowmobile, take horse-drawn sleigh rides and snowboard. In the summer, Vallecito Lake offers swimming and boating. Or just sit on the deck of your Durango vacation home and enjoy the surrounding nature.
