  • The Perfect Durango Escape

"We just returned to San Diego after spending five nights at this beautiful town home with our three adult children. This is quite a find in Durango! Do not hesitate to rent this home. It is a spacious new town home with beautiful Craftsman details. It has a nice view of the Animas River and you see the historic train go by your back patio on its runs to Silverton and back a few times per day. (8:30-9am and 5-6 pm only; a real treat and never disturbed our sleep!). It is in a very quiet and peaceful area along the river with deer sightings too. I am surprised that this is the first review as it is such a great property. We had five families renting various places in Durango for a wedding and this was by far the best. It has great air conditioning for the summer which is a must. It is in a very convenient location too, about 2 miles from the center of downtown Durango. It is one of the best equipped rental homes that we have ever seen. The kitchen is wonderful and has everything imaginable for cooking. There is also a nice weber gas grill on the patio. We had a fabulous time here. Highly recommend!"

  • Amazing Condo and Great Location

"We vacation in Durango every winter and thought we'd try it during the summer. We stayed at this lovely condo with our family of 6 for a week in August. The condo is beautifully appointed and the big balcony, BBQ and spa was a huge plus. Watched lots of thunderstorms roll in. The beds were comfy and the kitchen had everything we needed. It was spacious and a truly wonderful place to stay. Highly recommend it! We had a blast in Durango, Silverton, Ouray, Mountain Biking, hiking, river rafting and zip lining. Durango Mountain Resort is the best place to stay to have access to everything fun in the area."

  • Avvid snow skiers

"Loved it! Especially the Hot Tub while it was snowing. Really liked the grill on the porch also. The excellent snow quality, during the entire week if our stay, was a real topper to our overall experience. Great spot !!"

  • Fantastic Fishing

"This property was on the corner of the building and had a fantastic view of the northern and eastern mountain ranges. The deck was extremely large with many chairs and we used the gas grill for many of our meals. The upstairs kitchen, living room and dinning room were very spacious and comfortable. We walked to the village many times and rode the chair lifts. We had a large group and with four bedrooms it was perfect. We would definitely come back!"

Durango Travel Tips

Vacation in the Mountains at Durango Vacation Homes

Durango is a beautiful mountain resort in Colorado, and the best way to enjoy your vacation is by staying in one of the Durango vacation homes.

Vacation rentals provide you with a home away from home where you can enjoy amenities such as a fully equipped kitchen, private bedrooms, family areas, decks and more.

When choosing your Durango lodging, look beyond the normal hotels. Why stay in a small impersonal hotel room when you can enjoy the space and comfort of a vacation home? Hotels can be noisy with neighbors slamming doors, running down the hallways and blasting the volume on their television. Your hopes for a relaxing vacation can be ruined in an instant.

All the Comforts of Home

Rent a privately owned Durango lodging, and you'll be transported to the best of both worlds—a gorgeous mountain resort while relaxing in a rental with all the comforts of home.

Each of the Durango vacation rentals has its own particular charm, amenities and accommodations that spell comfort and privacy. In some of the rentals you'll find enough private rooms and sleeping quarters such as lofts to fit the entire family or group of friends. Many of the rentals have washers and dryers, cable or satellite television, decks and patios with barbecues and gorgeous lake or mountain views.

If you're looking for luxury, you can find a rental with a hot tub, fireplace, gourmet kitchen and luxurious bedding.

Activities Galore in Durango

You won't get bored when you stay in Durango, and your vacation home gives you easy access to all the area's activities. In the winter you can ski, snowmobile, take horse-drawn sleigh rides and snowboard. In the summer, Vallecito Lake offers swimming and boating. Or just sit on the deck of your Durango vacation home and enjoy the surrounding nature.
