"We enjoyed staying in this lovely house, with all the amenities of home. The house was very beautiful and comfy. The best part was grilling on the back porch while enjoying the mountain views."

  • Wonderful Family Reunion

"I cannot speak highly enough about this property! I don't think we could have found a more beautiful spot. Great place for the family to get together and everyone could do whatever they wanted. Located right between Durango and Silverton, this was the perfect "home base" for all of our excursions. Definitely would recommend and would love to return to some day."

  • Gem in the middle of the Mountains

"Rating Details: The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The Condo my husband and I rented for 2 week was wonderful, clean and decorated beautiful, it had all we could wish for, great kitchen with everything, great bed, thick towels etc., including a wonderful whirlpool tub. All we had to bring was food and our clothes. I went swimming every day in the big indoor pool, even that building was decorated beautiful. the place also have a tennis court. Cascade Village is sitting on the side of the mountains. The view is incredible, we sad on the balcony enjoying the view every day. We were there in Sept., but for those who want to ski, the lift is right there. The rental company and the person we dealt with was so accommodating in helping us getting the right condo. This place is more beautiful then the pictures on the internet. The condo is outside the town but just a short drive to dozen of eating places and shops. This was a great experience for both my husband and I, even if it took over 900 miles to get there. It was worth the drive. This place is a "GEM"."

  • Family Fun

"We had an absolutely fabulous vacation with our daughter and grandsons ages 5 and 7. They were just old enough to really enjoy the majority of summer activities at the ski basin and a highlight for them was taking the train one way from Silverton. The activities, pool with waterside and hot tub, and shopping / restaurants were just a couple of minute walk away and easy to run home for lunch or just for a break. The town home was larger and nicer than the photos depicted. The town home manager was extremely accommodating and responsive and even e-mailed us information about a bluegrass concert. We enjoyed having 2 master suites, a "kids" room with twin beds and an entertainment area on the lowest level with pull-out beds. Finishes are quite nice and bathrooms upscale. There are 3 levels and the loft seating area on the 3rd level may be challenging with a toddler. The grandchildren thoroughly enjoyed Handlebars Restaurant in Silverton and we really liked the Mahogany Grille in Durango for a special adult night out. Yes, we can't wait to do this again!"

Durango Travel Tips

Vacation in the Mountains at Durango Vacation Homes

Durango is a beautiful mountain resort in Colorado, and the best way to enjoy your vacation is by staying in one of the Durango vacation homes.

Vacation rentals provide you with a home away from home where you can enjoy amenities such as a fully equipped kitchen, private bedrooms, family areas, decks and more.

When choosing your Durango lodging, look beyond the normal hotels. Why stay in a small impersonal hotel room when you can enjoy the space and comfort of a vacation home? Hotels can be noisy with neighbors slamming doors, running down the hallways and blasting the volume on their television. Your hopes for a relaxing vacation can be ruined in an instant.

All the Comforts of Home

Rent a privately owned Durango lodging, and you'll be transported to the best of both worlds—a gorgeous mountain resort while relaxing in a rental with all the comforts of home.

Each of the Durango vacation rentals has its own particular charm, amenities and accommodations that spell comfort and privacy. In some of the rentals you'll find enough private rooms and sleeping quarters such as lofts to fit the entire family or group of friends. Many of the rentals have washers and dryers, cable or satellite television, decks and patios with barbecues and gorgeous lake or mountain views.

If you're looking for luxury, you can find a rental with a hot tub, fireplace, gourmet kitchen and luxurious bedding.

Activities Galore in Durango

You won't get bored when you stay in Durango, and your vacation home gives you easy access to all the area's activities. In the winter you can ski, snowmobile, take horse-drawn sleigh rides and snowboard. In the summer, Vallecito Lake offers swimming and boating. Or just sit on the deck of your Durango vacation home and enjoy the surrounding nature.
