  • Kansas Family

"Great place to vacation. We weren't sure about how to entertain our nine year old daughter, but there were plenty of surrounding activities for her to do. She had a blast river rafting, climbing on rocks, and riding horses. My husband liked the fishing right outside the cabin door. Very peaceful relaxing stay. We will be back!"

  • Second time just as perfect

"We have stayed at many VRBO properties - this is the only one we have come back to and actually PLANNED our vacation around the few open dates (3 months in advance even). I can't say enough about this river home - very comfortable, beautiful back yard with river, super location, and this time we did get to meet Martin. We again did the boat tour on the Black Canyon of the Gunnison (reservations only) - this time went on up to Crested Butte. We wanted to do a float trip with Three Rivers, but the weather was not special the one day we had. Because of the river,I would worry about very young children, it is very swift and cold (I am told), but any one else should love this home. Most VRBO properties do not have mustard, ketchup, etc, but the folks that rent this property leave food, which is great for the next group coming in. Do NOT expect this on your other rentals if this is the first VRBO you have been to. Thank you, again, Martin for you wonderful home."

  • Pleasant Surprise!

"We were in no mood for any unpleasant surprises. Upon our arrival, a drive up a fantasy valley and across a rustic wooden bridge, we had apprehension about staying so close to the owners' home at first. Then, I met the owners and saw the cabin. This place has magical and serene energy. We disconnected from the rest of the world. Left the door open most of the time. Every window has a scenic view in every direction. The inside is very beautiful and cozy with massive log walls and comfortable furniture. The landscaping is very Colorado. You can hike up into the forest and be totally alone. You can drive to the Gunnison River to fish all day. You can sit and read on the deck with chipmunks and watch barn swallows play. The barn is covered with interesting antiques. The hot tub is clean and spacious. They have lovely rescue horses, which are like watching living artwork seen through the framed windows inside the cabin. Mostly, though, the owners Walter and Georgia, are really really good nature people (and their dog, Tux, as well). We really melted into relaxation here and enjoyed the beauty. There were no issues. Not one thing went bad (and we are picky people). This is a wonderful find."

  • Fabulous Property!!

"Mark and Janet, We cannot say enough about your beautiful property. It was everything we had hoped for and we hope to return for another great time with our family. There were 13 of us and we had plenty of comfortable beds and dining space. Your kitchen is so well stocked.......puts mine to shame! The kids loved the waterfall, fishing, feeding carrots to the horses, the playground equipment and the trampoline. Thanks for all of your hard work and for the peaceful vacation you offer!"
