Great Weekend Getaway
"It was in the Wyndham condo area, so the area had great upkeep. It was near everything we wanted to do, we spent a lot of time on the Piedra road area, I love the drive back there. The condo was larger than it appeared in the pictures and was comfortable for the 2 of us. We did use the BBQ that was provided and ate out on the back patio a couple of times. There are plenty of restaurants nearby and the City Market is within walking distance. We called the owner about something that was missing in the condo and they took care of it immediately (thanks).
This condo is perfect for 2 people or would be good for a young family. I would definitely recommend.
Some of the area attractions we enjoyed: hiking, waterfalls, bike riding. My wife really enjoyed the food at Farrago Markets Cafe. We did take a day trip to Durango and enjoyed the Bar D chuckwagon (the dinner was good there too!). Chimney Rock National Park was also interesting.
I always enjoy Pagosa and will return."

"Have you ever been to a place that is so incredible that if you had to describe it to friends you would be at a loss for words!!? First, the owner, Barby is a gem. So kind and accomodating. The caretakers Jimmy and Sabrina went above and beyond for our comfort and
safety. Jimmy was right on top of the weather
conditions and had us plowed out every day during our
very white Christmas. Even on our departure he
helped us get down the snowy road with tire
chains....we went with a two wheel drive SUV. ..wouldn't
recommend that but Jimmy came to the rescue. The
cabin was extremely clean and had everything we
needed. All we had to do was supply our food. We had
more than enough firewood for our nightly fires. There
was even a Christmas tree in the garage that we set up
to really make the chalet festive. The beds were comfortable and had beautiful quilts on them. .....So
homey. The Blanco Basin has to be one of the most beautiful locations I have ever seen. Combine that with the chalet and new friends, Jimmy and Sabrina, it is a set-up for the best vacation EVER."

"We absolutely loved the house and being out of town. In recent years, we have always stayed closer to town, but we loved being out and really enjoyed the views. We saw a magnificent rainbow that was super close. Sunrise and sunset, lots of animals to watch. Would absolutely recommend this house. Lisa is very nice and helpful. Hope to get to stay here again next year. :)))"

"Been visiting Pagosa Springs for 19 years and finally found House on the Point to meet all our requirements.
Fishing dock was a great convenience since our priority was fishing. Kitchen well equipped; beds very comfortable; view from living room outstanding. Even though home is located a few miles from restaurants and
grocery stores, the drive is beautiful. Have only two suggestions. Expandable dining room table convenient for a group, but needs to be repaired or replaced; and, climbing the stairs for 3 senior couples not convenient to
to watch TV. A main floor television would have been a plus. Had great fun fishing, cooking meals; playing dominoes/cards, and "solving the problems of the world". Hopefully there will be a return trip in the future."
