  • R & R was so good that it added years to my life!

"The house was perfect: light and airy with good cross ventilation for great cool nights of sleep bundled in warm covers. The outdoor and indoor gas fireplaces were perfect--easy to use and perfect around which to relax while star gazing. The hot tub was decadent after a day of running several miles or hiking or hunting and more and more stars showed up the longer one adjusted to the dark The house was VERY well supplied--no runs to the store for essentials as they were all there! Reading on the deck or in the living room was great as the mountain view and bird feeders made an exquisite ambience. Town was not far but the next house was--ie, not crowded at all--we had our privacy. The road loop in front of the house made a nice lap for jogging at 1.3 miles per lap. I cannot find ANY complaint nor can those who traveled with us!"

  • Lazy Bear is the Bomb!

"What a wonderful trip! The Lazy Bear was everything you could ever want. The owners have more comforts in this home than you could imagine. It really made us feel at home. The warm cozy robes were great to have every morning while sitting on the deck for morning coffee, looking at the San Juan river and enjoying the scenic views. The town is a gem, great restaurants and nice shops. We did so much - hot air balloon ride, hiking to the falls, fishing in the river - even learned how to fly fish! We took a train ride from Silverton to Durango. Silverton's a great town. You feel like you're in a John Wayne movie. This whole trip was fantastic, from the lodging at the Lazy Bear to the scenery. Can't wait to go back! Thanks for a wonderful place to stay."

  • Blue Heaven

"We couldn't have asked for better accommodations. Blue Haven should be renamed Blue Heaven. Everything was as pictured and detailed. We were two families (identical twins and their young adult children) and we had an absolute blast. Just the right distance from town where the grocery store and all the shopping is. Thoroughly enjoyed the foosball table. In fact, we had a double elimination family tournament. Evenings on the back deck were to die for. And from the front porch, we watched deer frolic in the woods. it was a great time. The only less than amazing thing we experienced was a dirty charcoal grill. But it cleaned up with little effort. I would totally recommend the property to anyone who is planning to visit the Pagosa Speings area. Most importantly, Gary is a true gentleman and quick to respond to any question or issue. Which in my book, is super important."
