Location, Location, Location!
"Family trip to do some spring skiing. Location was wonderful as we could walk the short distance and put on skis and away we went! Easy access to the Gondola system. Wonderful Condo with all the amenities. We cooked every night and felt right at home. I highly recommend this place!"

"We stayed here for a week in January (3-10) and there were 5 of us. All of the beds were used (including the twin bed in the loft area) and they were all very comfortable. This property is more like a house with no adjoining walls, and is easily within walking distance to Mountain Village and both Gondolas. The garage has plenty of parking for 1 SUV and a second car just outside of the garage. We took our golden retriever, who was more than welcome to stay at the property, and he loved being able to play in the snow nearby. We were able to take advantage of the (2) free ski medallions and it was a HUGE savings! I discovered that skiing in Telluride isn't cheap compared to other CO ski resorts...a half day lift ticket was $93!! We used the Ski Butler and had our equipment delivered to the ski valet at The Peaks Resort (where the ski medallions are held). We had read another comment about how many steps it took to walk to the Peaks Ski Valet, and honestly, I'm glad we overlooked it as it was SO incredibly easy and convenient. You are able to leave your ski boots and equipment at the ski valet and walk over in your snow boots - no need to walk bath and forth in uncomfortable ski boots. It doesn't get much easier than that! The hot tub worked great and had jets that were more powerful than any other hot tub we've EVER been in! One of my favorite things was sitting on the deck off the family room, in the sunshine while drinking hot chocolate, and watching skiers come down at the end of the day. Amazing views!! There were a few maintenance items that came up while we stayed here, and Neal, the owner, was in constant contact and was prompt in coming by or scheduling a maintenance person to come by. The only downside for us...was having to carry our heavy suitcases, etc. up several flights of stairs in the snow the day of arrival (after an 18 hour drive). It would have been great if the garage was attached to the townhouse. Overall, it was a great week in a great property!"

"This is a very nice unit, with great views as well. Liz and Amy are very helpful in coordinating. Telluride was looking brown until our arrival, which brought about 3 feet of snow :-) . All about timing. Great powder skiing trip. Radiant heat in floors is nice. Heated garage for car and ski gear. Skiing out is super easy. Skiing in gets you 50 yards from the door. Initially finding the unit was a bit tricky late at night. The free shuttle service to the Mtn. market/Village was very quick and good. We enjoyed the stay very much. Thanks."

"This Kayenta condo was the best! Our family group of 10, booked this place for a ski trip so that we could all stay together in one unit. We were 3 generations, ages 9 - 80!
First off, the location in Mountain Village could not have been better! So incredibly close to everything! The kids, ages 10-15, could go over to the plaza area and explore by themselves, or even take some ski runs on their own. The ultimate ski-in/ski-out location, this unit is literally right on the trail and right across from the gondola and chair. For me, with bad knees, this was a huge plus that you didn't have to trek long distances in your boots, carrying your skiis. Plus you were simply on the slopes that much faster! Some of our group used the ski rental shop located seconds away. And it was great to come home for lunch! We also ate dinner in the Plaza area a few nights which was extremely convenient.......normally we would have had to take 2 cars to a restaurant......instead we just walked over.
The unit had everything and was very nicely furnished.......from a fully stocked kitchen to some games for the kids. The beds were very comfortable too. Chris, the owner, was very easy to work with and left wonderful detailed directions and instructions. He also has someone local helping him manage the unit which was great. We needed more towels and some folding chairs as 1 or 2 chairs seemed to be missing from the dining table......all were quickly delivered! This unit has a wonderful rare amenity of a dining table that seats 10! As this was a family vacation, we thoroughly enjoyed that we could eat all our meals together. And the fact that the living area (LR/DR) was an open area and had 3 sofa's, really enabled us to all be together.
Just a note......due to the PRIME location, you do hear the snow cats working through the wee hours of the night, all around the unit and their back-up beepers can be loud. If you're a light sleeper this may be bothersome. Also, there is no on-location parking for this unit. One space is provided in a garage a few buildings away. You don't really need a car because everything is so close and you do have the free gondola that goes down town. But if you want to use your car, it's location is not that convenient. It's a small price to pay for the best location!
To sum it up, we had a fantastic vacation in this condo and thank Chris for sharing it!! We would definitely go back again!"
