  • Just right...

"We manage over 120 rental properties and are picky when it comes to where we stay...Our family has visited Telluride on multiple occasions and have stayed in a wide variety of lodging (tents, hotels, condos, Mt Village, in town, etc)........the condo is a perfect balance for price & value....Cathy (owner) was helpful with all of our questions....we have stayed at her unit twice...once with 2 kids and two adults and once with two adults....it much more comfortable than a hotel room at a better price....I almost did not want to write a good review because of the fear of not being able to find a vacancy in the future!!!"

  • Alpine Solace

"My wife and I wanted someplace special to celebrate our 25th Anniversary. I am a Colorado native now living near Lake Tahoe and wanted someplace different than our usual getaway spots such as the Northern California coast or the Sierra's. I had never been to Telluride and convinced my wife to go to there. We were not disappointed! The area is spectacular and this house could not have worked out better. The location is beautifully set high in the mtn forest near Mountain Village. Although it is in the woods there are still magnificent views from the living area and master bedroom. The house was incredibly comfortable, quiet, and very relaxing; just what I needed due to a high-stress job. The kitchen was well equipped allowing us to prepare several tasty home-cooked meals during our stay. If you are active, the hiking and mountain biking in the area is world class. Bill the caretaker was helpful and friendly but otherwise invisible and totally respected our privacy. We definitely plan on coming back someday!"

  • Go in the Fall for the colors!

"Being from Denver I am embarassed to say this was my first trip to Telluride and my disappointment was I never came sooner. The fall colors were fantastic and not even at their peak. It is a very laid back town full of friendly people who love their mountain bikes, ski's and dogs. If you're looking for as Aspen or Vail, go to Aspen or Vail. I think Telluride is much nicer and certainly mor beautiful. The condo was just as advertised. The property Manager, Anita was friendly, gave me restaraunt ideas and took care of things quickly for me as this was a spur of the moment trip. It was comfortable, clean and has fantastic access to everything in town. The condo is a studio with the sleeping area is tucked behind a wall. I personally think more than two people would be cramped, but thats arbitrary since everyone has a different comfort level regarding personal space. The free gondola is about a block away, hiking trails right outside of you door, restaraunt/sports bar acroos the street and only 2 short blocks to the main street in town. The gondola is cool because it takes you to the top of the mountain and down into the heart of Mountain Village. I will be back to Telluride and would not hesitate to stay here again."

  • Great place for a couple

"The place was very clean, check-in/check-out was hassle-free, and everything was pretty much exactly as advertised. This is a perfect place to stay in town...you basically pay the price of a hotel room, but get the conveniences of a real apartment. The full size kitchen is awesome and a huge benefit in a town like Telluride where restaurant prices are generally pretty high. It's on the 2nd floor and there are large windows, so you get lots of natural light which is very nice. Parking and bike racks right outside. It's a studio so there isn't a lot of space, but it worked perfectly for me and my girlfriend. The loft is fine for sleeping(king size bed) and you won't bang your head when you wake up, but the ceiling is definitely too low to stand or get dressed up there...you basically just climb up the ladder and crawl onto the bed...just something to consider if you have limited mobility. There's a little desktop rotating fan in the apartment that was nice to have on the warmer nights. There's a small old school tv and dvd player, although we didn't use them. Wifi connection was strong during our entire stay and worked great. The couch was alright to lay on and read, but it's really not the most comfortable/functional piece of furniture. Bathroom was normal sized and pretty standard, the only suggestion I would have is to maybe change the shower head to one that has a better spray. Telluride is so small and literally all of it is incredibly nice, so you really can't go wrong no matter where you stay, but the location of this place is perfect. It's in a residential part of town so it's quiet at night, but you are still right in town so you can walk a few blocks to all the shops/restaurants/gondola/hiking trailheads/park/river trail/etc. The shuttle is pretty unnecessary during summer, but there's a stop close by which is nice to have during winter. Finally, the owner Hildy is really, really nice and very easy to communicate with. Some VRBO landlords can be a gigantic pain in the ass before/during/after your stay, so this is a HUGE plus."
