  • Wonderful house for a family reunion in stunning Telluride

"My family of 8 all stayed in this lovely home during the telluride jazz festival. It was perfect - there was plenty of space, we loved the number of bathrooms, and there were lots of welcoming touches. We especially appreciated how well-stocked it was with all of the amenities. My father has some difficulty walking, and this home was perfectly located near downtown. We would come stay here again in a heartbeat!!"

  • Perfect Summer Getaway

"From the balcony of this unit I listened to the whispers of the San Miguel river, admired the aspen and fir lined northern flank of the ski resort, quaffed a chilled can of telluride brewing FaceDown Brown Ale, and pondered the immensity of the universe under a thousand clear, bright stars. ALL AT THE SAME TIME. Needing more than that borders on gluttony, but there is more to be had: if you have a good arm, this unit is a stone’s throw away from Siam (the Thai restaurant, not the country) and the Wine Mine (liquor store), and a five minute walk to Clark’s Market. But you knew that, because you can read a map. You might not know that this is one of the nicest units in Viking lodge, with upgraded everything (kitchen cabinets, countertops, flooring, décor, furniture), and within Viking lodge, one of the best locations (top floor, river adjacent). Downsides: It’s small-ish. The bunk beds and the queen are in the same room, which can make for awkward sleeping arrangements. The top bunk is tricky to access, with a magical chair that converts to a ladder before your very eyes. Bike parking is ample in theory but scarce in practice; the denizens of Viking lodge love their two wheelers. The hot water was short-lived, borderline tepid at times – but serviceable. These are nits, mentionable only if one cares to pick. Listen… we had a problemless, fun-filled and fully satisfying 4 day stay here in July 2014 with nary a complaint on offer. It’s a reasonably priced heavily upgraded den of rentable comfort from which to base your adventures in Telluride, and we’d stay there again without hesitation."

"This property is amazing. We loved it, it is just as the picture portray it. Only problem was payment. Verify how owner would like to be paid before you arrive."

  • Mountain Oasis

"My family of 7, from ages 6 months to 85 years old, loved our vacation at Alpen Glow. The house is beautiful, clean, and has a homey feeling. The owner is very helpful and very friendly. The furnishings are nice and everything is provided for you. The views are spectacular. Each room has a view of the mountains. You can see horses, elk, and mule deer grazing. You can see the sun rise and set on the mountains and you can see the thousands of stars twinkling in the sky at night. Your view from sitting on the couch is Mt. Wilson! We will definitely stay at this house when we return to Colorado. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed our time in Colorado."

Hit the Slopes

One of the biggest attractions in Telluride is the Telluride ski resort. Skiing enthusiasts come from great distances just to ski the slopes near Telluride. The Telluride ski resort features over 2,000 acres of skiing areas, which is plenty to fill a vacation. Skiing enthusiasts prefer staying at the Telluride resort rentals because the rentals have plenty of room to store their skis and gear.

Summer Excitement

The fun doesn't stop in Telluride after the snow melts. Summertime transforms this mountainous escape into a hiking, biking, and fishing haven. An abundance of hiking and biking trails are located near many of the Telluride vacation rentals so bring along your hiking shoes or mountain bike. If you are a novice hiker, begin with an easier trail such as the short See Forever Trail. If you aren't the hiking or biking type, try your hand at fly fishing. This unique form of fishing is a relaxing way to spend a day. Book a fly fishing excursion with a local company such as Boot Doctors or Black Canyon Anglers. Keep in mind that you must have a fishing license to partake in fly fishing.
