"My wife and I rented Double Diamond #8 to celebrate our anniversary in Telluride, the town where we got married. When we arrived, we found the unit to be in perfect condition. We were given clear instructions on how to park and get into the unit.
This is a 3-level condo, which features a parking garage on the first level. The garage was clean and neat. There's a chair in the for being able to sit and put on your boots for hiking or whatever without having to bend over more sitting on the stairs. There's also an ample coat rack.
On the 2nd level are the bedrooms. Both beds were very comfortable with down comforters and large dressers that had plenty of drawers for our clothes. The closet was also large and clear so that we could put our emptied suitcases out of the way.
Each bedroom has a private bathroom. We stayed in the one that had a stand-up shower, but our friends had the one with the full bathtub. The water pressure was awesome in our shower, and the towels were super soft and pristine clean.
Up on the 3rd level, the magic begins. The living area is attached to the kitchen at the far end, and has a gas fireplace in the corner. The couch (leather) was very comfortable, and there were even rocking chairs in the room. There was a large screen TV and a nice high-top table in the room, as well as a bathroom on this level.
The kitchen, however, was arguably the star of the living space - at least for us, since we consider ourselves "foodies". The refrigerator, stove, and microwave are very modern (arguably brand new), and were intuitive to use. The stove features a double-oven, a really nice coffee maker (and separate grinder), very nice cookware (stainless steel), and all of the plates and glasses were classy and top notch. There was even a crockpot!
The high ceilings give the room a light, airy feel, and there’s a loft for extra guests too.
Access to the ski area via Lift 7 is a 1-minute walk. There's also a hot tub available at the end of the courtyard. In the summer, there's access to the trails that go up the North side of the valley.
Overall, this is a great vacation unit for both summer and winter. If you want to have a very nice experience in Telluride staying in a condo, you couldn't ask for better owners. And, if you are celebrating something important like an anniversary, this is a nice, quite place in town that will leave you with memories of a lifetime."
