  • Excellent for adult couples -- like a model home

"There were two adult couples in our group. We were hoping for a low-children exposure experience. This place delivered! It's a beautiful home, very clean, both bedrooms comfortable and separate bathrooms. It's a duplex but the neighbors were very quiet. It's directly on the golf course but for some reason not very busy. Faces other rental-type properties for time shares which catered to families but not a problem with noise at all. This place is on a cul-de-sac sort of so it's secluded. The garage was great for our motorcycles and was very clean. The kitchen was stocked very well with dishes, cooking equipment, even some pantry items. Only down side I would say it the internet is not wireless and the open internet we found was painfully slow. There is no AC in the unit but we found that to be fairly standard for Pagosa Springs and with windows open it was cool in the evenings. Also, they don't accept any form of electronic payment, which was a little strange we thought and a little inconvenient. The agent was great, very responsive, and helpful with suggestions on places to eat, things to do (which are a ton.) The location of the home is great! Very close to grocery, gas, many places to eat and it's a short couple of miles from downtown. We would highly recommend this rental and would come back. Would also work with the agent on her many other properties."

  • Fun family reunion!

"We recently stayed at Trout River Ranch for a Thanksgiving family reunion--8 adults, 2 teenagers, 2 6-year-olds, and 2 babies. We all enjoyed the beautiful setting, the rec room with its pool table, piano and children's games, the hot tub, the basketball court, the playground, and the horseshoe pits! All of the sports gear was included, the toys kept the young kids entertained the whole time, and they even asked us to read to them out of the many children's books available. The house was extremely clean, had everything we needed, and was very spacious. Excellent place to relax and spend time with the family for several days, even with a wide range of age groups. Had a fantastic stay!"

  • Location, Location, Location

"This is a great condo, my husband and I came with our 3 children, absolutely the best. Although this condo was one bedroom, it was spacious enough for my husband and I and our 3 children. Views amazing, easy access to everything in the square. We will definitely be seeking this property again. Owners very wonderful to work with. A plus in my book! Beautiful Place!"

  • Charming and well maintained

"Stayed here for four nights with our family (2 adults and 2 kids [ages 10 and 12]) on a summer getaway. It was just a wonderful place. Located a few minutes from the ski resort (Durango Mountain) and 25 minutes from town. The cabin was well appointed with all the necessary linens, furniture, pots & pans, and entertainment options to make your stay easy and comfortable. Also, there is a full sized washer and dryer. Definitely reduced the amount of clothing we had to pack. Dealing with the owners was very easy. Everything handled via email and regular mail. Enjoy!"
