  • Scenic & Beautiful Home above the Clouds'

"We stayed at this location in Late August. House was in perfect shape, with all the extra's working. Wifi, Statellite TV, Grill, Washer & Dryer ect. I would highly recommend this location, just 20minute from downtown Durango. The road to the home is quite a climb but not a problem. If you want to get away from it all, this is the place."

  • First Class but not at all fussy

"My wife and I visited town on a book tour and were put up here for two nights. Since we rent our own home on VRBO when we're away, we have some opinions about what makes a great rental. After staying here, we may be stealing some ideas. The location is great, on the edge of the old town, within easy walking distance of the main commercial street and close to the trailhead that leads to biking and running trails. If you're into exploring town and getting a feel for the funky community, this is the best possible location. The house has been newly renovated (we were told we'd taken the first shower in the expansive new master bathroom shower). The layout has flipped the space so the upstairs is a great room and well-equipped kitchen with a loft above. We found everything we could want in the kitchen, including a fully stocked spice cabinet. The great room is furnished in comfortable cowboy style, and there's plenty of room for multiple activities in the space. Downstairs, there's a feeling of privacy for all three bedrooms, plus, there's a small tv/reading room at the end of the hall, which can help segment larger groups. The furnishing and decor has character but doesn't feel worn. Linens and mattresses first rate. Wifi worked flawlessly. Two clunker loaner bikes were available for running errands in this very bike- and walker-friendly town, so a car is not necessary. It's too big a place for just two people who might want a romantic getaway, but we didn't feel dwarfed. Highly recommended."

  • A perfect family getaway!

"A perfect unit for our entire family! The unit was spacious, clean, and decorated perfectly! The owners did not miss a beat when stocking the kitchen, we had everything we needed to make practically any meal! The beds and linens were all super cozy, just like home! Huge closets, movies, games, and all the extras you could imagine in a rental! The owners were super nice and very easy to book with. We will be back and visit this beautiful spot another time this year….we hear it's just beautiful in the winter as it is in the summer!"
