  • Tranquil Holiday

"The Stone Creek Pond House was the perfect home for our family to enjoy a tranquil Christmas Holiday. The home is cozy yet a little roomier than what we perceived from the photos. Beautiful views of the valley and mountains from each window which were made even more spectacular by the surprising white Christmas morning (Driveway and roadways were plowed). We enjoyed a magical sleigh ride in the National Forest with Rapp Corral - highly recommended! And of course enjoyed skiing at the nearby mountain resort, know locally as "Purg". The home was very clean, nicely decorated and well equipped with everything we needed. Shannon, the home owner, was very friendly and responsive. We highly recommend this home for anyone's next Durango getaway unless of course we are back staying there again. Next time it will be summer so we can enjoy the pond. Thanks Shannon! Lisa and Tim Main and family"

  • Great family house!

"We had a great time for Spring Break at this house. Two rooms for the parents and two rooms for the kids. The four bathrooms were a huge benefit as well as the two large closets. You could fit a pak-n-play in one of them if you have an infant. You are also pretty close to the elevators and garage. Convenient access to the Wall Lift. Overall, a great place to stay at a fair price. MUCH more reasonable than staying at West Wall lodge, which is 25 feet closer."

  • A PERFECT summer in Durango

"We thoroughly enjoyed staying in this home just north of downtown Durango. Our stay was for two months and we loved it. The house was perfect and had nice finish throughout with granite counters, hardwood floors, comfortable beds and everything you would need for a month long stay. I appreciated that the owners did not 'over accessorize' with a lot of decor. It was really nice, clean and simply decorated. NOT fussy! The kitchen was great, w/ a LARGE island that you could either work from or pull up a stool to sit and eat dinner. Spacious bedrooms all upstairs. There is not an air conditioner and I was a bit apprehensive about that, but the window fans were adequate for the evenings in drawing in the cool air. Outside we used the grill and a picnic table in the private backyard space. The home is situated nicely as far as proximity to town (about 2 miles), to the rodeo grounds, library, rec center, River Walk (about .5 to 1 mile). We hiked every day/evening to trails that were within a few miles to a short 15 minute drive away. You will also be within a short drive to Mesa Verde, Silverton, Telluride and Pagosa Springs. I think that this house is the BEST deal you will find also for a month stay. The owner was easily contacted via email. We really did not have any issues, so did not need to call him for any reason. If you are considering Durango for a month vacation, I can't think of a better spot!"

  • Great place for families!

"We had a wonderful summer stay at this comfortable and clean condo. The master bedroom and kid's bunk room is on the lower level. Perfect for families with small children who need to be near their parents. The kids loved the bunk room and made a fort out of the lower bunk. They also loved finding the legos and played with them quite a bit. The loft has a really comfortable bed. The loft is really spacious and it is accessed by a very steep yet sturdy ladder (easy on the up, careful on the down!). We would definitely stay here again! Great location, no road noise from 133, easy walk to town. The kids loved riding bikes in the school parking lot."
