  • Heaven for skiers

"My husband and I stayed in this lovely home for most of the ski season, Jan.-closing day, 2014. You can't ask for a better location if you're a skier and want to be close to the gondola, as well as within walking distance of everything else Telluride has to offer. We had driven from Massachusetts, so we had a car, but we left it parked in the driveway most of the time we were in Telluride. Walking is the way to go in Telluride, where nearly everything is only a few blocks away from 460 Depot Ave. The house is comfortable and well-equipped for family groups, and our skiing family members who visited were thrilled to be there with us. Breakfast in the cheerful dining area was usually enlivened by the view of the famous Telluride Trail bear, a bronze sculpture in the house's back yard which is a photo op "must" for strolling parents and kids. Depot Avenue is a delightful "private" street which is basically a pedestrian walkway leading to the gondola area. The houses are close together but still very private, and there is a wonderful neighborhood feel to the area. Telluride is the most beautiful ski area in North America, we think, and the skiing is as challenging or as easy as you want it to be. Expert skiers can ride the lifts with less advanced skiers, and everybody can find as much fun as they can handle on the runs, and meet back at the lift. We were blessed with excellent conditions for our whole time in town. For a small place, Telluride has more terrific restaurants per capita than anyplace else we've been, and one of the best, Cosmo's, is right down the block from 460 Depot, in the Hotel Columbia. We made that 2 minute walk for dinner quite a few times! Nancy is a friendly and conscientious landlord/host. She even made sure that fresh flowers and succulents graced several rooms at the beginning of our stay. If you value convenience and proximity to all that Telluride has to offer, you can't go wrong with this vacation rental property."

  • Amazing place! Lots of room!

"This house was everything we were looking for plus more!! What a treat for the floors in main floor were heated! Fully stocked and in great condition!! All we needed were groceries. Very clean, quant, and roomy. Walking distance to Elk street and bus stop. We will definitely try to get this house again next time we go to Crested Butte. The views are spectacular as well! We had babies, toddlers, a teen and we all loved this house and slept so comfortably. Not a single issue during our stay."

  • Spectacular!

"I cannot say enough great things about this cabin. I suppose saying that this is the third year in a row we have stayed here should tell you how much we love it. The owners are two amazing people that I'd like to say we call friends now - okay, maybe just once a year friends but that I still felt like I was coming home when we made this year's visit. The cabin itself is great - well laid out, spacious, great kitchen, comfortable. The owners make sure that all the thoughtful, personable touches are there for you. The area itself is full of great drives, neat little towns, the gorgeous Blue Mesa Reservoir - I could go on and on. And the view while sitting on the deck is one of my most favorite in the world. I can (and have!) sit there for hours perfectly peaceful & content. Seeing deer from every window and all across the property many times a day, having a couple of elk wander by, watching two golden eagles soar over the mesa - I'd give this place more than five stars if I could. Thank you, Joyce and Mary Beth for sharing this great place with us."
