  • Awesome Ski Vacation

"Thank you so much for offering your ski house to us for the week. We are former college room mates from the University of New Hampshire who now live all over the US. It was our first time seeing each other in many years. Your home was beautiful, the perfect destination for our trip. Thank you!"

  • Wonderful, relaxing vacation

"Great cabin along the Arkansas river. Very relaxing guest house tucked against some National Forest property. Great private fly fishing on property. It was so relaxing to sleep in and then just walk down to do some fly fishing for the day and then a bike ride on the Mineral Belt Trail in the afternoon in downtown Leadville. We are already booking our next trip."

  • Best Condo We Have Rented in Colorado

"This condo is definately a cut above the others we have rented for ski vacations. We stayed there on our last trip and liked it so much we stayed there again last month. We will rent it next winter for a third stay. It is clear that the owners take good care of it as we saw several upgrades this year. Most condos I have rented in the Colorado ski country are in large buildings with a view of the units next door. This unit has a picture window and small deck that looks out onto a wooded ridge with only 1-2 houses on it. It has a very secluded feel. The gas fireplace gives it an added ambiance. The four of us had a wonderful time. The rooms are spacious, the condo is equipped with everything and then there is the view. We also appreciate how quiet it is--no traffic noise, low occupancy, no loud parties or other noise. We also liked the hot tubs at the clubhouse about 50 yards away. It was wonderful to relax there each night after a day of skiing or other outdoor adventures."

  • Excellent property!

"This property was exactly as described. It is convenient to town and about 1 1/2 blocks to the lift. The unit is updated, very quiet (top floor helps with that), huge and did I say huge? This is a very large 2 bedroom, 2 bath unit with a kitchen, dining area, family room and then another family room area where they have a couple of futons for extra guests to stay if you need them. There is a humidifier in each bedroom which is a must at that elevation. The owner was very prompt in his responses and even had the cleaning crew mail me the battery charge I left behind! We will definitely stay again!"

Choose the Season to Visit Summit County

Summit County in Colorado is home to some of America's top ski resorts. For this reason, many people think of Summit County as purely a winter sports vacation destination. Indeed, the snowfalls are generally excellent and the number of snow sports available are very diverse; however, it is equally an exciting summer vacation destination. The season to visit will depend mostly on your vacation and sporting interests. Perhaps you'll decide that you want to return for both your summer and winter vacations. The ski season generally starts in early December, or a week or two after the first solid snowfalls. In general, depending on temperatures and snowfalls, the season runs until early to mid-April. The busiest time of year, in terms of the ski season, is from December through to February. The summer vacation season starts in June and runs until September. The peak summer season is generally during July and August.
