  • Great condo right by Snowmass Village

"We had a great stay at the Condo in Snowmass. It is literally 100 meters down the hill from the Snowmass Village, so you can walk to a number of great shops and restaurants. We were there in Summer and had a really great stay. We would definitely rent from Missy again. I imagine this is the ideal place for ski season as well, as you can walk to the mountain and ski back to your condo every afternoon. Also it is a two bedroom, but the bunk bed you see in the picture is really like a King on bottom, so very comfortable for a couple to sleep in. Very nice place, great location, and we highly recommend it."

  • We can't say enough good things about our stay...

"This was our first experience with VRBO and it could not have been better. This condo was exactly what we were looking for during our visit to Salida. The location was perfect - just a short jaunt to downtown where there are many great dining options (Moonlight Pizza, Benson's Beer Garden, Little Cambodia) and the balcony river view was so beautiful and peaceful. Also, this condo has all of the amenities you could need during your stay and is very comfortable. Thank you to the owner, Maureen, for welcoming us and being great to work with. Our trip to Salida was wonderful due to the amazing hiking around the area and then having this great condo to come home to and relax. I would recommend these accommodations to all my friends and family. Thanks again!"

  • Great place to stay!

"My husband and I spent two nights in Frisco, CO recently. This condo was exceptional! Very well put together, comfy, quiet. It is open, well stocked, clean. Bonus was the two bathrooms, one with a jetted tub, the other a big shower. It was nice to have a washer/dryer as well to utilize. Master bed has a balcony. Lots of windows, fireplace and a nice kitchen with breakfast bar. Prime location downtown for walking exploration. The owner was great to work with as well. Thanks for a terrific stay! Colorado Travel Tips

Home Comforts at Colorado Vacation Rentals

The type of vacation rentals available will depend on your vacation destination. If skiing is your favorite pastime, you can enjoy cozy cabins tucked away in the mountains that have easy accessibility to the ski resorts. Many have hot tubs and spacious living areas where you can relax and socialize after a day out on the slopes. Large fireplaces complete the picture so you can enjoy your steaming hot chocolate in the evenings. Some of the more rural areas have large log homes that overlook wide valleys and mountain vistas. These are ideal for families that want to enjoy nature and the countryside.

Visitors to Colorado Lodging

Colorado is widely reputed to be the adventure capital of the United States. There are plenty of activities that can be enjoyed in the state and there are activities for every season. The summer months open up miles of trails for the fit and energetic. Mountain bikers can enjoy challenging climbs and thrilling single-track descents through the forests. For a more leisurely exploration, you join up with a horseback riding excursion that will take you up into the mountains or across wide open fields. Hiking, mountaineering and rock climbing are popular summer activities. Details on different routes and trails can easily be obtained from the local information offices.

Water sports enthusiasts are not left out. There are rafting and paddling excursions available on the Colorado, Arkansas, San Juan and Platte Rivers. The fishing is also excellent and many towns hold annual fishing competitions. In the winter months, the Colorado mountain ranges enjoy good snowfalls. The many ski resorts offer a range of ski runs and groomed trails. Heli skiing is available for the more adventurous skiers.

Seasons to Visit Colorado Cabins

Colorado is a destination that can be visited year-round depending on what your interests are. Colorado is known as the home of some of America’s top ski resorts. During the winter months from December through April, it is mostly skiers that are visiting Colorado’s beautiful mountains. Many of the ski resorts have snowboarding terrain parks and miles of groomed cross country trails. In the summer months, the mountains are transformed. The former ski routes become mountain biking and horseback riding trails and the tall peaks invite exploration. There are hundreds of hiking trails that cross the mountains ranging from short circular day hike routes to longer mult-iday routes. Paddling and kayaking are favorite activities on the Colorado River. There are sections that local outfitters run commercial rafting trips on. In the spring and fall seasons, you can enjoy the beautiful scenery and perhaps take in some of the historic sites.

Getting to Colorado

The primary travel hub into Colorado is the city of Denver. Denver International Airport hosts regional, domestic and international airlines. There are regularly scheduled commercial flights from most major cities in the United States. Denver is also a travel hub for flights from Canada and Central America. Smaller regional airports are located in Colorado Springs and Telluride. Most visitors to vacation destinations drive there from their hometowns. But if you are traveling from further afield, you can collect a rental car upon arrival at the airport. There are a number of reputable rental agencies available. There is an extensive road network throughout Colorado, providing access to the beautiful wild and remote mountain areas. Another excellent way to get around is by rail. There are both high-speed trains as well as the more traditional scenic railways. This is a great way to enjoy the landscapes en route to your destination.
