"First, this house is beautiful and perfectly located for a week at the beach. The owner met me when I arrived, gave me a tour of the house and reviewed the all of the essentials. The size of the house worked perfectly for my friends and family that came and went throughout the week. When we weren't at the beach, we were on the deck looking out at the ocean. Marvelous view. I would highly recommend this house and plan on returning next year."

"Stayed at the house with several friends while attending a wedding at Lion Rock Farm. The house was immaculate upon arrival and exactly as described. Owners are a pleasure to deal with and after our stay my deposit was promptly returned. I would definitely recommend this secluded property as a great alternative to the hotels in the area."

"My boyfriend and I recently spent 4 wonderful days at Hatch Pond to celebrate my birthday and had the most lovely time. The Kent area is BEAUTIFUL! Everything was perfect and stress free and it was easy to get to from NYC. Tons of activities to keep us entertained like kayaking/canoeing on Hatch Pond and hiking on the Appalachian trail. The town of Kent is cute too and has shops and restaurants, but we really enjoyed just being in the cottage cooking, relaxing and unplugging from the world (though there is a TV with cable if you want!).
The cottage itself is great and well maintained--tons of modern fixtures, wifi, comfy beds and kitchen gadgets while still retaining a real country feel and charm. Even though it was summer it felt cool inside with the fans that we didn't even really use the window cooler. Huge bonus is the amazing garden that Michael, the owner, maintains. Nothing beats walking outside and picking some fresh basil right off the stalk and making a delicious pesto. Speaking of Michael, he is the best!!! He met us at the house, gave us the tour, told us about some of the local highlights and was there as needed. It's really obvious how much he loves the house and the Kent area, all of the great antiques lovingly displayed in the cottage are handpicked by him. You can even visit his antique shop The Bunkhouse to pick up a little treasure of your own to take home.
Overall, highly recommend this gem, would love to go back!"

"We thoroughly enjoyed the accommodations, location and amenities in this Black Point House. The owner/agent was able to accommodate one of our guests who could not negotiate the stairs by converting the first level office into a bedroom, it was perfect. Loved the outdoor shower, ample parking at the house, plus nearby parking a few houses down the street, the open concept kitchen/breakfast area that seated 10. The only caveat, was the lawn was a bit long and should have been mowed prior to our stay. The gardeners finally showed up a day prior to our leaving."
