"Ennis Cottage is a cozy, well maintained and clean cottage a few feet off of a scenic Branford Beach. The description would make it sound like the apartment is low on square footage, but it is surprisingly spacious (the bedroom/bathroom is small, the living room is large and kitchen well organized).
The beach is across the street, with a small walkway. There is a moderate sized lawn and gravel path around the house, which was great for us - our toddler could run around safely. The beach area is also fenced in, again making it a little less worrying that the baby would run onto the street.
The views from the beach is great, you see the smaller Thimble Islands and there is a small boat.
Note: You do need a car (or a bicycle) to get around Branford."

"Just returned from a too short stay in this cozy cabin. Top of the line, all-around-want-for-nothing place to enjoy a fantastic view of the lake, cook a gourmet meal, lounge in front of the stone fireplace, read, bird watch, explore and hike nearby. Although we didn't actually get on or into the lake, we are dreaming about it in a return visit. Every detail is for comfort, convenience and enjoyment. You can feel the love and care that makes this a very special place. Some hikes: Mashamoquet Brook SP, Natchaug State Forest, Mansfield Hollow SP, Bafflin Sanctuary, Airline Trail, James L. Goodwin State Forest.
This would be a great home base to explore Connecticut's quiet corner."

"It's hard to find the words to express what a relaxing getaway we had. The location was wooded and so, so blissfully quiet and peaceful. We woke to chirping birds, had breakfast on the balcony, then the pond fountain would come on and add to the zen-like atmosphere. Close to Foxwoods and even closer to Mohegan Sun if you want to catch a show, etc. The condo was clean and comfortable. Plenty of room. The Murphy bed was super comfy too. Anthony was easy going and quick to respond to any questions. Great time overall. Hope to come back again next year!"
