  • Unplug and step back in time.

"If you have ever wondered what it would be like to stay overnight at Old Sturbridge Village, then you will delight with the Little House. We reserved for four of us but only three stayed at the rental so we could each have our own bed. The crisp sheets and comfy bedding had us sleeping each night like it was 1820 and we had worked the farm all day. Our teen boy who is very high tech was unplugged and so well rested by the time we left. A bonus for all. Fridge well stocked although we had family events each day and did not have use for the kitchen. Wonderful brisk hike in the woods with family was a highlight. Hope for snow next time around."

  • Relaxing Long Weekend

"My wife and I stayed for a little bit less than a week during the Labor Day weekend. The house is bigger than it looks on the pictures. It is well maintained and had everything we needed for our stay. The host, Mary, is very nice and accommodating. The shore is a short walk away and if you don't want go to the beach, the house has a sizable backyard where you can just relax in one of the beach chairs. There is a seafood store with a great selection of fresh fish and seafood around the corner, a super market a five minute drive away and a couple of restaurants across the street. Things to do include local attractions such as Thimble Islands cruise, drive on the scenic I-146 and visiting local historic villages such as Essex. We enjoyed our stay very much and felt quite relaxed at the end. I hope we could stay longer."

  • Quiet getaway in unique and beautiful home

"My husband and I stayed at Eve's Country Retreat this past weekend and had a lovely time. It is clean, well-kept and very charming. There are beautiful details in the house that are unlike any other place I have seen, and it is very spacious. There is a charming fireplace and a lot of space for large groups. The owner was very easy to communicate with and was very accommodating. We would definitely stay again!"

  • Good things come in small packages

"This little 2 bedroom/1 bath cottage is in a perfect location if you are looking to relax and enjoy a gorgeous view of the lake. Though there are cottages and homes all around this lake we felt like we were almost the only ones there. The grandchildren enjoyed the kayaks and swimming every day. We enjoyed the huge and fully "furnished" deck, reading, playing games and just vegging out. Though the place is small it has everything you need. We only had to bring our clothes and some groceries. A new washer/dryer were being installed the day we left so that will make things even better!"
