"My wife and I stayed for a little bit less than a week during the Labor Day weekend. The house is bigger than it looks on the pictures. It is well maintained and had everything we needed for our stay. The host, Mary, is very nice and accommodating. The shore is a short walk away and if you don't want go to the beach, the house has a sizable backyard where you can just relax in one of the beach chairs. There is a seafood store with a great selection of fresh fish and seafood around the corner, a super market a five minute drive away and a couple of restaurants across the street. Things to do include local attractions such as Thimble Islands cruise, drive on the scenic I-146 and visiting local historic villages such as Essex. We enjoyed our stay very much and felt quite relaxed at the end. I hope we could stay longer."

"This rental is very clean and versatile. You have plenty of amenities including an extremely quiet neighborhood and beautiful, private beach that is a very short walk away. This beach house has ALL the comforts of home!"

"Where to start telling you about this magical place?!? Double sliding glass doors in the dining room offer amazing views of the lake and horizon & lead to a good sized, comfortably furnished deck. In the wee hours of the morning, I was out working on my Sudoku puzzle at the deck table, then moved to the cushioned chairs further down the deck or near the fire pit to thumb through magazines from the owner's bookshelf (also stuffed with creative games, books for all ages, and DVDs). Not normally a morning person, I was up bright and early each day, excited to see what the day would bring. Took the canoe out 3x/day to explore the lake and little islands. Saw another couple on kayaks, a couple kids swimming happily with their dog and a goose couple with seven sweet goslings! Since it was early June, a couple evenings got chilly outside, but the heater with individual controls in each room (even the bathroom!!) kept the house perfectly cozy. The owner has really thought of everything. As others mentioned, you only need to bring food & clothes. I brought my towel and pillow but ended up not using them since the ones in the house were nicer. The life jackets were fancy and new-looking too, in a variety of sizes. Perfect cottage for a single, couple, or small family."

"Wow! Amazing house. So perfect. My extended family lives in CT and RI and we need a central place for "home base." This house was perfect for my husband and I, our daughter (20 months) and son (6 months). Could have held a lot more people. Porch is the best part! Great for cookouts and coffee watching the waves. The private beach was also incredible, at low tide you could walk out really far. The kids had a blast. Can't wait to book "our house" again for this year."
