  • Great time in Connecticut!

"We needed a house last minute, and when we called George he answered his phone and got us all set up. Then we loved it! George took care of our firewood (even though it was early in the season - us southerners weren't used to the chill) and made sure we had everything we needed. I ended up leaving a couple of items at the house, and he promptly mailed them to me. The house has no food items - so think about that when planning to cook - but the kitchen is neat and clean and well stocked with dishes/pots/etc. The town is beautiful - lots of lovely homes, a fun Main Street for shopping, etc. We loved the remodel on the farm house! So well done! We enjoyed easy day drives to Yale/New Haven and New York City."

  • LOVED everything.

"We - 3 moms and 3 girls 4-5 years old had an absolutely amazing time at this wonderful property for our annual Girls Week. Everything was great, I have not a single thing to complain about (save the noisy bullfrog day and night and the too tiny coffee maker!). The house is lovely... the game room a delight... the toys and beach accoutrements more than we could dream of. The sandy beach has a very gradual slope just perfect for young swimmers. We loved kayaking around the lake. We loved the fire pit. The owner provided so many tips and maps, etc and it was wonderful. We loved it all! Just awesome!"

  • Beautiful and comfortable

"This lovely and spacious home perfectly suited our needs when we visited CT for a week for a family wedding. We shared the rental with my brother and his wife, and some of our grown children were also there. The house never felt overcrowded, even when we hosted an extended family dinner for about 25 people. The deck was superb - spacious, comfortable, with a killer view of the water. I particularly liked the clear barrier to the deck, which let us enjoy all of the view, all of the time. The kitchen proved to be fantastic for cooking, with all the necessary pots, pans and dishes, and even accommodated the creation of about 15 dozen wedding cupcakes. The beds were very comfortable, and the furnishings were all handsome. We loved having this base in New London, so close to our old family homestead in Groton. We'll be back!"
