  • Perfect place for a Family Rreunion

"It would be hard to find a more lovely and historic setting to reunite 4 generations than this Connecticut home. From the moment you step out of your car you feel at home. The feeling continues as you move into Erle's magical house. The lovely entry, the delightful kitchen, looking towards the "Old Toy Factory" across the road, the large living room and the cozy den provide places for families to either be together or separate for reading and other activities. This property has a large yard with a river running through it and plenty of room to roam or just sit and enjoy the sounds and sights of the Connecticut country side. If you look into the history of the neighborhood you will discover even more things to make your stay memorable. Thank you Erle for providing such a wonderful place for our family reunion."

  • Absolutely Perfect! 5 stars!!

"What an amazing place CT is. If you're looking for an extended place to stay, Cozy Nest Cottages is the place to book. The owners are very polite and will help with any questions you have. They are located in East Lyme which makes it very easy to get where you are trying to go. I highly recommend staying here!!"

  • Perfect location for end-of-summer fun!

"We had another week of vacation before Labor Day and didn't want to face a day-long drive up or down I-95 from NYC. Luckily, we stumbled upon this listing for Ennis Cottage and it was available! The beautiful cottage is immaculately kept and very comfortable with everything you need -- and just steps from the Long Island Sound. Ron and Bernie were incredibly welcoming to me, my husband, and my 4 year old, ready with beach toys, chairs, towels, and a wagon to help get our vacation started. We spent most of the time on the beach playing in the sand and water. Later in the week, we went to the outlets for school clothes, took a tour of the Thimble Islands, picked berries at a local farm, and went to a local carnival. We loved the lobster at Lenny's, long walks along the water, and exploring the lovely town of Branford."

  • Great Reunion Weekend House

"My friends and I met up at this property for a New England end-of-summer reunion (we're all spread out over the country these days). When we first arrived at the house, we were all stunned at the modern interior design and the interesting layout (we all argued over who would sleep up in the loft!). The house more than comfortably accommodated the 8 of us. The kitchen/dining/living room area was great for hanging out, cooking and chatting. We spent quite a bit of time outside on the deck and in the yard playing yard games. We grilled out on the Weber grill both nights. The one recommendation for being outside would be to bring a decent amount of bug spray--the property is along a gorgeous river that, if slow-moving (which it was when we visited), is a breeding ground for mosquitoes. That said, with a little spray, the bugs weren't bad enough to force us indoors. Overall, we had a great weekend enjoying the property. I would definitely recommend it if you're looking for something in this area. It's quiet and beautiful. Can't go wrong! Also, the security deposit came back swiftly as well, which was appreciated. I would definitely return to this property."
