"A fabulous home with incredible charm, space and fenced-in yard. You can walk to everything and get lost in the beautiful neighborhoods of mystic. There are not a lot of photos but this home is spacious and updated. It was so nice being able to bring our dog. We will be back again. Loved Mystic and all there was to do from hikes, to great dinners out and visits to nearby towns. Missing my early walks in town to the local coffee shop. People were so friendly."

"My husband and I and our four sons wanted some real family time before half of the kids jetted off to college. We explored a number of properties in western Connecticut. The innkeeper for the Amselhaus was incredibly friendly and communicative from the very start and we felt welcome before we even walked in the door. Once there, we felt instantly at home. I can honestly say I have never stepped into a vacation rental and felt as instantly at home and comfortable. We stayed in the north house which was perfect for our family. There were fresh cookies for all of us, coffee for the making in the morning, all the kitchen items one would need as well as a book of information about where we could eat out and activities we could take part in in the area. We sat on the porch and watched the river, the kids played croquet and "chilled out" in the living room watching old Sponge Bob episodes in the evening. (We don't have cable TV at home so this was a treat for them....even the older ones.) Every part of the trip was made special by the accommodations. And the review written about the comfortable beds were right on. We slept in absolute comfort. We are all looking forward to coming back again and my husband and I are entertaining the idea of an anniversary trip for just the two of us.
There are many great activities to take part in including Kent Falls down the road and a mining museum. There are restaurants and even some that deliver to the Amselhaus.
If you are looking for a comfortable place to come with family or just for a couple, I can not rate this place more enthusiastically. My only fear is as word gets around about this gem, we wont be able to book it."

"My children and grand children joined my husband and I for a wedding in CT. This was a great home to meet all those needs. The grand children loved the room on the 3rd floor for watching movies and playing. My husband and I would get up before everyone and open the blinds in the master bedroom and just sit and watch the boats going out. It was very peaceful. Kathryn was available to ask questions. And we loved the Kayaks. Thank you again Kathryn."

"This home is large, airy and well stocked. It is wonderfully situated near the ocean. This is great for a family vacation. We were able to kayak and swim steps outside of the house. Meghan has always been extremely helpful. There are lovely nearby restaurants and and a well appointed kitchen if you feel like cooking."
