"My family and friends had a wonderful week here. The house is lovely; we especially enjoyed the sun room off of the kitchen. The best part, however, was the amazing yard, porch and pool. We were two couples and three small children, and a few days we never even left the property. The house is on top of a hill and all you can see are beautiful trees, rolling hills and wildflowers, as well as gorgeous clouds. It was serene.
We appreciated how everything was meticulously clean, and the kitchen was well stocked. My only complaint was the that master bedroom does not have dark curtains so it was quite bright at sunrise, but a small concern seeing how beautiful it is. We hope to come back in the fall or winter to see the change of season as well.
P.S. For any yoga renters, I strongly recommend Charym in Litchfield (Approx. 25 minutes away). It's a beautiful space and we took two lovely classes there! A perfect compliment to a vacation!"

"My wife and i took our four boys ages 10-16 to enjoy Mystic and Misquamicut beaches. They house served us well. The huge deck with grill was our evenings on most days. Cooking the fresh fish from the seafood market across the causeway, relaxing and getting that great breeze off the water. We had great times fishing the causeway. The bait shop there is helpful and owned by a great family. The Aquarium, mystic seaport and many restaurants and shops are minutes away. The beaches are an easy ride away as well. I have visited this area for the past 30 years. Staying on the beach is nice but the people, traffic and cost of food is no comparison to enjoying the beach then coming home to a relaxing and quiet spot to decompress. Clean up, cook in or go out. There is a huge tv on the 1st floor. There is a great sized yard where we enjoyed yard games at the end of our day. I will not hesitate to reserve this house anytime we plan to travel to this area.

"This is one of the best self-catering properties I have ever stayed in. We tend to do a lot of cooking and we couldn't have asked for anything more out of the kitchen, which was probably better equipped than our own. There were plenty of towels and linens and, as a previous guest has commented, the bed really is very comfortable. The property has been designed to give a real feeling of open space without being hollow or echoey. Spotlessly clean with good laundry facilities. We found plenty to do in the local area, a tour of Yale University, Gillette Castle State Park and Hammonasset Beach State Park. Madison is a sweet little town with all the necessary facilities, including a train station allowing travel to New London and New Haven and stops in between (and possibly elsewhere but you'd have to check)."
