  • Another wonderful stay at the Captain's Cottage

"This was our third stay at this great place and it just gets better and better. There were some additional kitchen items this year, not that we were really lacking in anything, which made things easier and more enjoyable. 10 thumbs up!!!"

  • Fabulous family vacation home

"We stayed at this home instead of a hotel for a weekend visiting family, so we are familiar with the area. What a great find! The house is older, but has been been beautifully renovated and decorated. It has a nice deck, patio and large fenced yard. The house is very well stocked with most anything you need. It is in a beautiful residential neighborhood, walking distance from shops and restaurants. What an awesome place for a weekend in the country. The owner is great, and seems to have gone out of her way to make the house welcoming. We felt like we were borrowing the home of a friend. I highly recommend this property, and hope that we have an opportunity to stay there again."

  • Great time in Connecticut!

"We needed a house last minute, and when we called George he answered his phone and got us all set up. Then we loved it! George took care of our firewood (even though it was early in the season - us southerners weren't used to the chill) and made sure we had everything we needed. I ended up leaving a couple of items at the house, and he promptly mailed them to me. The house has no food items - so think about that when planning to cook - but the kitchen is neat and clean and well stocked with dishes/pots/etc. The town is beautiful - lots of lovely homes, a fun Main Street for shopping, etc. We loved the remodel on the farm house! So well done! We enjoyed easy day drives to Yale/New Haven and New York City."

  • The Best Deal in Ridgefield

"I was pleasantly surprised to have all my expectations met or exceeded with my stay at George's converted barn. It is truly a "5 Star" property and I would highly recommend these accommodations to anyone planning on visiting the Ridgefield area. You literally need to do nothing more than show up and buy some groceries. We found this charming property to be the perfect place to lock ourselves away from the rest of the world for a little while and I have priceless memories of my stay here...thank you George!"
