"Our stay at the marsh studio was truly a wonderful experience . . . one of our best vacations ever! We arrived in the rain and were so captivated by the contemporary design, sculptures and various works of art that we soon forgot about the rain. Ilsa and Bob are wonderful hosts. A bottle of wine, orange juice and the makings for coffee were very much appreciated. Their dog, Tilda, (a lab/something?? mix) was a fine greeter . . . energetic and loving and an added bonus for us.
We decided to stay local this summer and were amazed at all there was to do in the Westbrook area. We saw a great concert at the Kate Theater in Old Saybrook and a few days later we went to the Goodspeed Opera House to see a wonderful musical. Both theaters are unique and conveniently located. The Chamard Winery in Clinton and lunch deckside overlooking the vineyards was great. We had a terrific waiter and the food was delicious.
There are so many restaurants to choose from . . . The Boom at Pilots Point Marina has the view of the boats and the sunset, Lenny and Joe's was a favorite for eat in and take out. We love lobster so the Lobster Landing in Clinton was a great choice for hot lobster rolls and butter. For times when we wanted to stay put . . . the kitchen at the studio and outside grilling made dining in fun.
West Beach was great for Barbara who LOVES the ocean and the fishing/crabbing and kayaking on the tidal river was Duncan's top of the list relaxing activities. Just sitting on the dock with a morning cup of coffee was so special.
There was more that we did and much more to do next time and there will be a next time. Simply put, being there was WONDERFUL!!"

"I was pleasantly surprised to have all my expectations met or exceeded with my stay at George's converted barn. It is truly a "5 Star" property and I would highly recommend these accommodations to anyone planning on visiting the Ridgefield area. You literally need to do nothing more than show up and buy some groceries. We found this charming property to be the perfect place to lock ourselves away from the rest of the world for a little while and I have priceless memories of my stay here...thank you George!"

"Very much enjoyed the property as a home base for a long weekend getaway. The house was clean and comfortable with its open floor plan, and we found everything we needed on hand. The dining area with windows and skylight was especially enjoyable and provided birdwatching with your morning coffee. The setting was charming as pictured with a lovely garden under the pines.
The owner was very accommodating and was there to meet us for an early check in. Would stay again."

"The lake house was outstanding. Our day to day busyness and stress washed away within moments of getting to the house and seeing the amenities available and finding that the Owners had thought of everything and kept the place pristine.
All the needs we could think of were there and available, the access to the lake was great, the surrounding area was a nature lovers dream, and the peace and quiet was just what the doctor ordered.
Thanks to John and Rita, we will be looking forward to next year!"
