  • Beautiful and comfortable

"This lovely and spacious home perfectly suited our needs when we visited CT for a week for a family wedding. We shared the rental with my brother and his wife, and some of our grown children were also there. The house never felt overcrowded, even when we hosted an extended family dinner for about 25 people. The deck was superb - spacious, comfortable, with a killer view of the water. I particularly liked the clear barrier to the deck, which let us enjoy all of the view, all of the time. The kitchen proved to be fantastic for cooking, with all the necessary pots, pans and dishes, and even accommodated the creation of about 15 dozen wedding cupcakes. The beds were very comfortable, and the furnishings were all handsome. We loved having this base in New London, so close to our old family homestead in Groton. We'll be back!"

  • Great family accommodation

"Just returned from a lovely week in this Noank cottage. Views wonderful from both decks and we spent the week relaxing in the sunshine on these decks. Beds very comfortable and the cottage is well stocked with all the amenities you would need to make it feel like home from home. Great places to explore locally - noank village, public beach with weekly concerts, mystic village and stonington borough village. Communication from owners great. We hope to return at a future date."

  • PERFECTION!

"Our goal each year is to try a house on a lake in a different state. This place has changed a family tradition and we will be returning!!!..hopefully again and again! Perfectly relaxing, at times it was like we had the entire lake to ourselves. The house is cozy, had more than expected, cupboards so well stocked, and Carol is wonderful and more than accommodating! We couldnt have asked for a better week. Kids loved the boats, fishing, floating, swimming, and their own space on the top floor was awesome!! Wicked comfy king size bed too! Slept like a baby. Thanks so much, and see you next year!!"

  • A Treasure Close To Home

"Our stay at the marsh studio was truly a wonderful experience . . . one of our best vacations ever! We arrived in the rain and were so captivated by the contemporary design, sculptures and various works of art that we soon forgot about the rain. Ilsa and Bob are wonderful hosts. A bottle of wine, orange juice and the makings for coffee were very much appreciated. Their dog, Tilda, (a lab/something?? mix) was a fine greeter . . . energetic and loving and an added bonus for us. We decided to stay local this summer and were amazed at all there was to do in the Westbrook area. We saw a great concert at the Kate Theater in Old Saybrook and a few days later we went to the Goodspeed Opera House to see a wonderful musical. Both theaters are unique and conveniently located. The Chamard Winery in Clinton and lunch deckside overlooking the vineyards was great. We had a terrific waiter and the food was delicious. There are so many restaurants to choose from . . . The Boom at Pilots Point Marina has the view of the boats and the sunset, Lenny and Joe's was a favorite for eat in and take out. We love lobster so the Lobster Landing in Clinton was a great choice for hot lobster rolls and butter. For times when we wanted to stay put . . . the kitchen at the studio and outside grilling made dining in fun. West Beach was great for Barbara who LOVES the ocean and the fishing/crabbing and kayaking on the tidal river was Duncan's top of the list relaxing activities. Just sitting on the dock with a morning cup of coffee was so special. There was more that we did and much more to do next time and there will be a next time. Simply put, being there was WONDERFUL!!"
