  • Peace, calm, serene, beauty, intoxicating views!! Spectacular place

"I went there for a personal retreat. I chose the rental from the internet. As soon as I entered- I felt at home. It was the perfect place for my purpose. The house immediately welcomed me. It has such an at home cozy, inviting feel. The views of the water are mesmerizing and tranquil. The neighborhood is very quiet. This house is ever so spacious and well equipped. Nothing was left out. It is huge, having 3 floors and very spacious rooms. The floor to ceil windows in the Master - superb - watching the slow water movement under the moonlight at night - then waking up to the sun and water. What a way to go to bed each night and wake up each morning. There is a certain peacefulness about this house that is felt immediately and I relaxed right into it. The house is overly supplied with anything that you may need. Typically renting cottages annually- this was different. It was a house, as stated the owners care that the stay is perfect, very clean, well kept, beautiful furnishings, inside & out, private dock & beach - which btw was perfect even this time of year. Sliders from the LR right onto the deck. Maybe 15 steps down to the beach & dock. The water was so clear that I could see the bottom. Kathy & Andrew far exceed the normal owners. The communication before & during was prompt, personable, & thoughtful. As many rentals as I have done- I have never met owners who care so much that your time at their place exceeds your expectations. They have the perfect place for families, retreats, anything imaginable. I can't state enough how welcoming the house is. This is quite a unique place. The tranquility of the house, the views, etc allowed me the time I needed to "regroup" and regain my focus. I'm not sure my mission would have been so successful had I not been at this exact house. It is a must have for any purpose. Hoping to go back this summer with my family. I don't see how anyone can go here and not return. It is just that fabulous. Did I mention the tranquility, the views, the coziness, the owners, the welcome feel of the house?? I can say without a doubt I will be back. Thank you so much Kathy & Andrew. It was a pleasure."

  • Our trip to the ocean

"We were attracted to this area because we could be at the ocean in less than an 8 hour drive from our home. Fans of "Daddy Jack's Cooking with the Blues" YouTube cooking classes, we also hoped to meet Jack Chaplin at his restaurant in New London. This rental property was very roomy and had everything we required. It was so nice that most kitchen staples were there for our use. It was pleasant sitting in the private back yard while our dinner grilled over the coals. The beach is 5 mins walk from the home--Ocean Park also has a swimming pool, water slide, mini putt, and events like movie night and live bands. Fun things we did included: ferry to Block Island and seeing the sites by moped, shopping and eating in Mystic seaport, drove to NYC to visit the 9/11 museum. A vacation with a bit of everything!"

  • What an adorable beach cottage!

"My family, consisting of 2 adults, teenage son (along with various friends) and family dog spent a wonderfully relaxing week at this perfect beach cottage. The pictures are a completely accurate depiction of the property...the beach access is literally right across the street! Morning coffees, dining "al fresco", reading books and family game nights on the screened-in front porch were our favorite activities of the whole week! The cottage is in a very family friendly neighborhood with great areas for walking, biking and kayaking. We look forward to our next vacation on beautiful Summer Island for relaxation and quality family-time!"
