  • Beautiful and comfortable

"This lovely and spacious home perfectly suited our needs when we visited CT for a week for a family wedding. We shared the rental with my brother and his wife, and some of our grown children were also there. The house never felt overcrowded, even when we hosted an extended family dinner for about 25 people. The deck was superb - spacious, comfortable, with a killer view of the water. I particularly liked the clear barrier to the deck, which let us enjoy all of the view, all of the time. The kitchen proved to be fantastic for cooking, with all the necessary pots, pans and dishes, and even accommodated the creation of about 15 dozen wedding cupcakes. The beds were very comfortable, and the furnishings were all handsome. We loved having this base in New London, so close to our old family homestead in Groton. We'll be back!"

  • Heaven

"There are few places left in the world to experience a lakefront cottage location so consistently beautiful, from year to year, for as long as I have been familiar with Lake Chaffee - dating back to 1995. This cottage is in keeping with the serenity and natural beauty of its surroundings, and the owners have done a superb job of providing every comfort, yet still allowing for casual and cordial gatherings. A lovely place to recharge the spirit and revisit peaceful, reflective moments."

  • Beautiful Setting!

"This is such a beautiful property! The view is just unbelievable. Waking up in the morning and having a cup of tea on the porch was such a great way for me to start my wedding day! The house itself is very cute with a Brady Bunch vibe. Very kitch and original 1960s. We loved it! My bed was very comfortable and we found everything we needed in the kitchen. Before the visit Kathy was great at communicating with me though unfortunately had to leave town before our arrival. We were left in the capable hands of Lisa and she showed us around the property and explained how everything worked before leaving us to the peace and quiet of this lovely home. I would definitely come back here if I needed another weekend away with a large group. Thanks for everything!"
