The Delaware Memorial Bridge is a twin-span suspension bridge that crosses the Delaware River into New Jersey. There are several ferries providing access to Delaware. The Cape May Lewes Ferry Crosses the mouth of Delaware Bay from Cape May in New Jersey to Lewes in Delaware. The Three Forts Ferry crosses from Delaware City to Fort Delaware and Fort Mott which are both located in New Jersey. A smaller cable ferry known as the Woodland Ferry crosses the Nanticoke River just south of Seaford.

Many people who visit like to have a car to explore the coastline. If you are traveling from further afield, you can easily rent a car upon arrival at the airport. Delaware is the only state that does not have its own commercial airport. But given its proximity to the major cities, this is not really an issue. For international travelers, you can fly into JFK or Newark airports near New York City.
