  • Charming cottage get-away

"Was a very nice place to get away - quiet, cozy and close enough to everything. Owner was very accommodating and very pleasant to deal with and we enjoyed ourselves. Thanks so much, Rachel! ;-)"

  • Spacious and well-appointed home perfect for a family get-away

"Looking for a peaceful, picturesque place to take the family for Thanksgiving, we compared about twenty properties online before deciding on this one. What sold us on this place was plenty of room for everyone, great view right on the waterfront, and relatively close to well-supplied supermarkets for T-day preparations. The house has a well-equipped kitchen (very important), a large family room with a big screen TV, DVD player, and plenty of couches for lounging and playing games. I had some work to do during the week, and the sun room was the perfect location for some peace and quiet with a fantastic view of the Delaware bay. The place has an ideal location for our needs. The beach was right there, great for strolling up to the cape or over the ferry dock to watch the Lewes-Cape May ferry come in and depart. The owner provides plenty of bikes for riding through the state park. And the historic town of Lewes is a couple of minutes down the road, with great restaurants and quaint Victorian and colonial houses and shops. The Rehoboth outlets are 20 minutes away (the kids got some great Black Friday deals on clothes and shoes), and the Dogfish Head Brewery is also 20 minutes away (free brewery tours and beer tasting). We had a wonderful time!"

  • Girl's Getaway

"Six ladies had a wonderful getaway this past September staying in this beautiful condo. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to experience downtown Lewes with the shopping and historic sites. The restaurants are within walking distance and the beach is a short drive or bike ride away. The owners are wonderful to work with, and very helpful with any questions, which are answered in a timely manner. The listing description and pictures are very accurate. The rooms are large, light and airy. The view of the canal is beautiful. We enjoyed our stay in this condo very much. We enjoyed the ambience and charm of the town in general. Most of us had never been to Lewes before, but will undoubtedly come back."

  • “Perfect Family Vacation Home in Lewes, DE”

"This was our first time renting a home in Lewes, Delaware and it resulted in one of our best family vacations ever! My husband and I, as well as our children and grandchildren, spent one glorious week in this beautiful home located within the “Villages of Five Points” along Savannah Road. It was so close to restaurants, the Midway Movies, playgrounds, downtown Historic Lewes and its beaches, Cape Henlopen State Park, the Rehoboth boardwalk, outlet shopping, sightseeing, etc. The home looked exactly as it did online. The house was clean and very comfortably furnished, kind of like a cross between Pier 1 and Crate & Barrel. There was so much room to move around without anyone being on top of one another. We especially enjoyed the first floor master bedroom suite, tucked away from the rest of the family for privacy. The three large upstairs bedrooms accommodated two queen size beds and two twin beds, just what we had looked for online when booking this place through VRBO. And we were pleasantly surprised to see that it had 2-zone air-conditioning, which was a real plus for us! The kitchen was fully stocked for cooking inside or outside on the gas grill, which we did for two nights during our stay. Our favorite part of the home was the back deck. We enjoyed the lounge furniture, as well as the outdoor table and chairs. It was such a nice, quiet neighborhood…no noise from other neighbors or traffic. My husband and I really loved having morning breakfast and conversation out on the deck each day! The owners provided beach chairs, beach towels, bed linens, bath towels, etc., which many homes and condos do not provide. They also provided a list of recommended restaurants and activities, along with lots of brochures of local places to visit. The grand-kids loved the nearby beaches, particularly the one in Lewes! Our son enjoyed his early morning jog each day along the development’s running path, and all of us enjoyed the swimming pool, which was only one block away. Also, our adult children spent many an evening at the Greene Turtle while we babysat their kids.  Lastly, all of us enjoyed watching the Orioles beat Toronto and St. Louis on the family room’s flat screen TV. Go O’s!!! What a lovely home in a beautiful community!! We definitely hope to return to this beach house next summer and continue to make many more family memories. Thanks so much Kate and Jarek for renting your home to us."
