"Great place to stay. The cottage was clean and well maintained. The owners made the process very easy and were very accommodating. We had 2 adults and 2 older teenage children and had plenty of room. I loved the shade from the tree on screened in front porch. It was the perfect place to spend time after a long day on the beach. This was our first stay in Dewey Beach. We were close to everything..beach, bay, stores, and restuarants. We had our bikes it took 5-10 mins to ride to Rehoboth Beach Boardwalk. The walk was less then 30 minutes. We spent time kayaking in the bay, surf fishing and of course swimming on the beautiful beach."

"After looking for many months for a home large enough for our family (including 6 children under 10, and 8 adults) to reunite for a beach vacation, I was thrilled to discover the D'Light House online. When we arrived, the house was very clean and exactly as the photos reflected. Our family had plenty of room; the kids were excited to discover so many safe places to play; as well as the welcoming basket of toys and games. It truly felt as if we were staying in a home owned by a family member, as Dr. Don could not be more accommodating and welcoming. Our son was happy that he was able to explore the canals with his kayak; all of us fell in love with the beautiful, quiet neighborhood...and of course, the gorgeous beach that was so close by. We loved the town of Bethany and had great take out at Off the Hook. We are looking forward to returning in 2015, as there is still so much more that we can explore!"

"This house was just as described with all the convience that we needed. The house was clean and well-maintained and included everything to make our vacation memorable. Everyone had their own space to relax and there was plenty to do as a family. The owners were prompt in answering our questions as well as sent a area map and suggestions for enjoying our stay. Excellent home!"

"The house was amazing, just as described... beautiful, clean & comfortable. Spacious enough for a family of 5. Everything you needed to cook with was available in the kitchen. The pool was great, the water a little cold but since the temperatures were in the upper 80's, it was ok. Decent grocery stores within a few minutes of the house but if you want a good restaurant or even take out you have to travel at least 30 minutes. It is in a very secure and secluded area if what you're looking for is rest and relaxation away from it all. Absolutely beautiful views across the street from the dock and the beach only minutes away.
The only issue for us was communication, we were given the wrong information on how to connect to Wi-Fi and spent a lot of time trying to connect the way we were told, only to find out we actually needed a password which was later given to us after we insisted the internet wasn't working. Also, a little bit of a condescending attitude from Carol when we accidentally opened the awning trying to figure out how to turn off the living room fan (again, lack of instructions on what remote works for what...) when apparently a neighbor contacted her to say strong winds were in the forecast & the awning was open. I understand the concern with the awning getting damaged if it stayed open during heavy winds, however, I explained it was closed immediately once we realized it had been opened accidentally while figuring out what remote controlled what... I was scolded by "I am not very happy, we spent $6 thousand dollars on that awning". Being our 1st day there, it didn't make me feel very welcome and unfortunately put a damper on my vacation. But as I said, it is a very lovely home and with better communication and maybe labeling the numerous remote controls I have no doubt everyone will enjoy it."
